【電子回路】基板100個取付した所、不良品が見つかりJLCPCBにQuality Complaintを提出

はじめに

おしゃべり猫型ロボット「ミーア」を開発中。

6月1日に100台リリースするべく、4月27日に基板を100台JLCPCBに発注。その後、電源取り付け確認問題があったが（下記ブログ記事参照）、クリアして、5月中旬には基板100台届いた。

ちなみに、他の部品（スピーカー、LCDディスプレイ、タッチセンサーなど）も届いており、自分の部屋は現在倉庫状態になっている。

まさかの、LCDディスプレイ取り付けられない！？

これは事後的な反省点なのだが、基板到着後すぐにコードの書き込みと、取り付けの検証を行えばよかったのだが、後回しにしてしまい、到着後10日くらい経った今になってようやく組み立てを開始し始めたところ、まさかの問題を発見。

ピンヘッダーは水平に取り付けられていることを見越して、目の部分に相当するLCDディスプレイをはめたときに、ちょうど隙間なく並ぶように設計していた。

しかし、実際にはピンヘッダー部分が微妙に水平ではないものがあり、結果として、LCDディスプレイ同士が干渉してハマらないという問題が発生。

上記図の場合、傾いたメス型ピンヘッダーに対して、LCDディスプレイを取り付けると、微妙に垂直から右側に傾いてしまっている。

このせいで、筐体も最後までねじ止めできなくなってしまった。ちなみに、無事ねじ止めできた場合は、下記のようになる。

The LCD display cannot be mounted as most boards have female pin headers that are not parallel and are distorted. Attached image.
