ʻōhiʻa lehua

リサーチの最初の頃は、ハワイの伝説を調べてました。
最初に調べたのは「オヒアレフア」の物語でした。

※書こうとして気づいた。ハワイ語をタイプするの、難しいやん・・。ハワイ語と英語が適当に混ざると思います、ご勘弁・・。

Ohiʻa and Lehua were lovers.
One day, Goddess of fire, Pele, fall in love with Ohiʻa.
Pele pressed him to become her boyfriend but Ohiʻa refused the request.
Pele got angry and change Ohiʻa to wood.

Lehua was sad because she couldn’t meet Ohiʻa.
Other gods felt sorry for her and change Lehua to flower.

Ohiʻa and Lehua, the wood and the flower, are together.

We shouldn’t pick this flower in Hawaii.
If we pick, Lefua feel sad and it rains.
