#111 移住ブームってホント？中編 (People want to move out from city area to rural?　- 2)

日本で和食を食べるたびに日本いいな、と思って帰りたくなります。まあ、シンガポールご飯を食べると、シンガポールやっぱりいいなと思うので、ひょっとしたら本当はどちらでもいいのかもしれない（すみません）。

前回の続きですが、全国の人口の増減だけみるとやはり関東そして大都市（大阪、福岡）などが大きくプラスという感じで、やっぱり大都市圏強し、という感じでした。これは、、、移住ブームなんて起きていないのか？（疑り深い）でもそれだけでは移住ブームがないとも言い切れないのでもう少し長期の推移を見てみることにしました。もちろんここまで来て思いました。僕はなんでこんなことやってるんだ？（笑）

E-statの住民基本台帳人口移動報告をもう少し長期のデータをとって、人口の増減がどうなっているかを前回着目しているエリアを中心に調べて見たのが上のグラフになります。沖縄が入っているのは、、、趣味です。いや、これはすごいですね。コロナ前は９万人近く増えていた東京はなんと、2021年には約5000人程度の増加に留まったのです。おーーー。大阪と福岡も増えてはいる。いるけど大分増え幅が小さくなった。

これは、、、コロナが怖くて東京に来る人が減ったのか、東京が鎖国（？）したのか、出ていく人（移住）が増えたのか。出ていく人が増えたのなら移住ブームありかも。ちなみに、神奈川、埼玉は完全勝ち組感ありますね。リモートワーク恐るべし。

Every time I eat good (and cheap) Japanese food in Japan, it makes me feel that I want to go back to Japan. I have been away from Japan for too long. Well, when I eat good food in Singapore, I feel that its always good to be in Singapore Lol. So I guess I'm ok for either (Sorry). What I wanted to say is that there are so many new attractive restaurants in Tokyo while I didn't come back for 2 years.

In the last post, data shows that even if people say that there is the huge emigration trend in Japan, population increase is shown only in greater Tokyo area. Still people seems to prefer coming to live in big cities. So I was wondering if there is the emigration trend to go rural area in Japan. However that data only is not strong enough to say, there is not trend. So I'm getting more data to see what is happening in Japan. Now I'm wondering why I'm doing this… Lol.

Above is the data which is tabulated from E-stat (2022), government population stats. It shows 4 years of population increase/decrease by prefectures. The view is now totally different from the last post. Big cities are still strong but the growth rate is so low in Tokyo after pandemic! Wow. Osaka and Fukuoka also shows continuous increase but the growth rate is lower in 2021. Tokyo used have around 90k on annual increase but it is around 5k in 2021. Why did I put Okinawa in the list? Yes I just like it…

Ok. What happened in Japan. Did people scared of coming to Tokyo because of pandemic? Or did Tokyo close the border (not funny…)? Maybe many people run away from Tokyo? Lets have a look at the data in the next article. By the way, somehow Saitama and Kanagawa are the winners. One trues is the people got away from Tokyo "a bit" where they can still commute to Tokyo.
