神社では、秋本番の紅葉シーズン中、「七五三詣で」で賑わっている。七五三は文字通り三歳、七歳は女の子、五歳は男の子。それぞれの成長を祝う行事で、神様に報告、感謝、祈願を行う奉告祭。
旧暦では、毎年11月が収穫を終えてその実りを神に感謝する月であり、その月の満月の日である15日に、氏神への収穫の感謝を兼ねて子供の成長を感謝し加護を祈るようになった。
明治改暦以降、新暦では11月15日に行われるようになったが、現在では11月15日にこだわらずに、11月中のいずれかの都合のよい日に行なうことが多くなっている。
紅葉まっただ中、子供たちの色とりどりの装いが神社境内に花を添え華やいでいる。こんな光景を見ていると、いつまで平和であってほしいと心より願う。

The shrine is crowded with "Shichigosanmode" during the autumn leaves season. Shichigosan is literally three years old, seven years old is a girl, and five years old is a boy. An event to celebrate the growth of boys, a dedication festival to report, thank, and pray to God.
In the lunar calendar, November is the month when the harvest is finished and the fruit is thanked to God, and on the 15th, which is the day of the full moon of that month, we thank the god for the harvest and thank the growth of the child. Since the Meiji calendar reform, it has been held on November 15th in the new calendar, but nowadays, it is often held on any convenient day in November instead of sticking to November 15th.
In the middle of the autumn leaves, the children's colorful outfits add the shrine precincts and make them gorgeous. Looking at such a scene, I sincerely hope that it will be peaceful.

私事で恐縮ではあるが、今週の初め、孫の七五三で写真スタジオと神社参拝にお供した。
朝にスタジオ入りし着替えを済ませ本番に臨んだ。三歳の時の撮影では仰々しい着替え等々で大泣きしたのを覚えている。
あれから4年が経つ。見違えるほどに成長している。その成長を報告させていただいた。

I'm sorry to say that I went to a photo studio and a shrine at my granddaughter Shichigosan earlier this week. I entered the studio in the morning, changed her clothes, and went to the actual performance. I remember crying when she was three years old because of a big change of clothes.
It has been four years since then. It has grown to the point of being mistaken. I reported to the god on its growth.
