「松林図屏風」、まさに黒と白の宇宙" Pine forest map", exactly the black and white universe
一昨夜、NHKbsプレミアムで放送された「美の壺」の最終章で紹介されたのが、安土桃山時代の絵師・長谷川等伯の「松林図屏風」(国宝)。
近代日本水墨画の最高傑作といわれている作品。余白を表現するために松林を描いたようにも見えてくる。タイトルにあったように、まさに「黒と白の宇宙」である。
SNSで発信すると、ニューヨークの写真家からは、数年前にNYCで展覧会があったときに観た。“心から感銘した”と絶賛のコメントがあった。美しい、と思う評価はどこも同じのようである。
The last chapter of the "Beauty Pot" broadcast on NHKbs Premium the night before was the "Matsubayashi Zukanfu" (national treasure) by Toshiaki Hasegawa, a painter from the Azuchi Momoyama period.
A work that is said to be the best masterpiece of modern Japanese ink painting. It looks like a pine forest is drawn to express the margins. As the title says, it is exactly "black and white universe".
When I posted it on SNS, I saw it from a New York photographer when there was an exhibition in NYC several years ago. There was a highly acclaimed comment, "I was deeply impressed." The evaluations that I think are beautiful are the same everywhere.
