建仁寺 法堂では時空を超えた体感が得られる 　 At the Kennin-ji Hatto, you can experience something that transcends time and space.

緊急事態宣言が発令されるまえに京都を訪ねた。用事を済ませ建仁寺に立ち寄った。四条通から徒歩圏内なので訪ねた回数では最多である。行くたびに日常では味わえない発見や体験をさせていただく。
今回は、緊急事態宣言期間ではなかったもののやはり人出は少なかった。お陰で書院や方丈、粘華堂(法堂)などで仏像や庭園並びに画など時間をかけて楽しむことができた。

I visited Kyoto before the state of emergency was announced. l finished my business and stopped by Kennin-ji Temple. It is within walking distance from Shijo-dori, so it is the most visited. Every time I go, I will make discoveries and experiences that I cannot experience in my daily life.
This time, although it was not the period of emergency declaration, the number of people was still small. Thanks to that, I was able to spend a lot of time enjoying Buddhist statues, gardens, and paintings at the Shoin, Hojo, and the Hatto.

建仁寺といえば、数々の見どころがある。その中でも法堂は未曽有の世界。その世界を心と体で感じることができる舞台だと思っている。ご存じ、天井一面の双龍図が本尊を護り、舞台監督として見つめ続けている。
その舞台中央に腰を据えておられるのが本尊「釈迦如来坐像」。本尊の両脇に脇侍として、お釈迦様の十大弟子の迦葉(かしょう)尊者と阿難尊者が祀られている。
迦葉尊者は、お釈迦様の後継とされ、お釈迦様の死後にお釈迦様が唱えた経典の編纂をしたといわれている。一方、阿難尊者はお釈迦様の侍者として、お釈迦様の教えを多く聞いていたことから多聞第一と称され、迦葉尊者とともにお釈迦様を支え続けた尊者である。

Kennin-ji Temple has many attractions. Among them, the temple is an unprecedented world. I think it is a stage where you can feel the world with your body and soul. As you know, the Ssangyong figure on the ceiling protects the principal image and keeps staring at it as a stage director.
The principal image "Shaka Nyorai sitting statue" sits in the center of the stage. As both sides of the principal image, the ten great disciples of Shaka-sama are enshrined. It is said that
Kasho-sonjya was the successor to Oshakasama and compiled the scriptures that Oshakasama advocated after his death. On the other hand, the Venerable Adan is called Tamon Daiichi because he listened to many of the suporting of the Buddha as a suporter of the Buddha, and he is a suporter who continued to support the Buddha along with the Buddha.

薄暗い法堂にひときわ神々しく輝いてみえる釈迦如来坐像と尊者像が双龍図に見守られながら鎮護されている。その空間には時空を超えた瞬間があるように思う。
訪れた日は、法堂に入った時はだれ一人もいなく、その瞬間を五感で味わうことができた。

The sitting statue of Shaka Nyorai and the statue of the Venerable, who seem to shine remarkably divinely in the dimly lit temple, are protected while being watched by the Ssangyong map. I think there is a moment in that space that transcends time and space.
On the day I visited, there was no one when I entered the temple, and I was able to enjoy the moment with all five senses.
