極楽浄土の庭にのっぽビル Highest building in the Gokuraku Jodo Garden

大阪 四天王寺の日本庭園にある和松庵から極楽池を臨む風景は他に類をみない美しさがある。

The scenery overlooking Gokuraku Pond from Washoan in the Japanese garden of Shitenno-ji, Osaka is uniquely beautiful.

東には、明治36年に開催された第五回内国勧業博覧会の際、小奏楽堂として建てられ
た西洋建築様式の「八角亭」が見える。また中央には徳川秀忠によって再建された湯屋
方丈の家屋があり、庭園全体が「極楽浄土の庭」と称されている。

In the east, it was built as a small concert hall at the time of the 5th National Industrial Exhibition held in 1868.
You can see the Western-style "Hakakutei". In the center is a bathhouse rebuilt by Hidetada Tokugawa.
There is a house of Hojo, and the entire garden is called "Gokuraku Jodo no Niwa".

写真(下段)の中央のハルカ彼方にのっぽビルが霞んで見える。これを借景とするなら
極楽浄土の世界と厭離穢土(おんりえど/穢れた国土)の世界が混在しアンバランスに見える。

The highest Building looks hazy beyond Haruka in the center of the photo (bottum). If you use this as a borrowed landscape
The world of Sukhavati Jodo and the world of Sasamsa (dirty land) coexist and look unbalanced.

しかしながら、私の勝手な理屈を言わせてもらうなら、この庭園は、現世の苦悩や欲を経てたどり着いた極楽浄土の地に例えられないだろうか。そんな景色を想像してしまう。

However, my selfish reason is that this garden can be likened to the land of the paradise pure land that has arrived through the anguish and greed of this world. I imagine such a scenery.
