■好きなことを一生懸命やれば道は開ける
　
　今日においては、努力と根性という言葉の持つ意味そのものが、
明らかに変わり始めています。
　第２次大戦後２０年くらいまでは、少なくとも、この２つは、
美しい言葉だったでしょう。それが今までは、
そんなことをすること自体無駄だと
思っている人が大半を占めているようです
　私に言わせれば、はっきり言って、頑張れば何とかなる時代は、
終ったと言うことだと思います。
　その理由の１つには、人が多くなりすぎました。
　２つには、ある程度、満足できる程度に生活レベルが向上し、
ハングリーな人が少なくなりました。
　そして、一番大切な３つ目は、当たり前の事を、
やっている人が多くなりすぎました。
　しかも、それが、本当に、当たり前の事と考えて
やっている人が大多数になりました。
馴れ合いです。人間の可能性から見れば、さて、
１０％も分かっているかどうかです？
　人間社会は、もっともっと個性のぶつかり合いであるはずです。
　言い古されたことですが、人間は、自分たちの脳を、
一番使っている者でも、１０％程度しか使っていないのです。
　それなのに、大多数の人間は現状に満足している。
　もっと、自分たちの限界に挑戦すべきです。
　自分自身を痛めつけるだけの努力は、無意味ですが、
自由で、個性を重視した、創造的な努力の積み重ねは
続けて行かねばなりません。
　１億人の人が存在したら、１億通りの努力の仕方、
根性の見せ方があるはずです。
　つまり、人類総プロ化です。
　皆、違う事を、違う目標を持ってやることです。
同じ道を、皆が走るから渋滞が起こるのです。
人と同じ事をやることは、下手をすると、
ライバルの決めた勝ってなルールで戦うことになるからです。
自分の人生のルールは自分自身で決めたいものです。
　しかも、大切なことは、一人一人が自分の一番好きなことを
やることです。好きなことは、努力も根性も、
何と言うことありません。
　才能のある人とは、その分野では最大の努力のできる人
であると言う人もいます。この場合の努力や根性は、
その人にとっては、楽しみであって、苦労ではないからです。
　２０００年代は、皆が、笑顔で、自分の好きな事に、
プロ意識を持って、全力で打ち込める時代にしたいものです。
　それはともかく、２０００年代は、プロ意識を持てない人は、
生き残って行くのが難しくなります。

■自信は、自分流の生き方を
　　　　　マスターした人に存在する　
　
　「自信」というものは、恐ろしいもので、凡人も、
大天才にしてしまいます。
これは、誰でも知っていることです。
　ただ、自信を持て、と言われて持てるなら、誰も苦労はしません。
　自信は、小さな成功の積み重ねによって、
生まれてくるものです。これも、何処かで聞いた話です。
　また、自信は、考えすぎる人は、なかなか持てないもので、
単純な人ほど、持ちやすいもののようです。
自信は成功の為に絶対に必要なものであると、
いろんな成功を謳う本に書いてあります。
　つまり、成功する人イコール自信家ということです。
　成功が人生の全てだとは思いませんが、
自分のやりたいと思ったことは
やり遂げておかないと、
結局、死ぬときに後悔することになります。
　ここで、全然、視点を変えてみたいのですが、私は、
何か確信を持てるものがあれば、
自信は生まれて来ると思っています。
　たとえば、愛読書、人（恋人や先生、師匠）、宗教、思想、
何でも心の底から、信じるものがあれば、
人は強くなれるようです。
　但し、一つだけです、浮気はいけません。
たとえば、キリスト様を信じる人なら、
「あの方なら、こんな場合どうするだろう」
と常時考えながら行動することです。
　また、恋人なら、「あの人以外は異性ではないと考え、
この愛を伝えるために全精力を傾ける」
くらいの意欲で頑張り続ける。これは、
集中力とも重なるものです。
　でも、なかなか信じられるものが見つからない人は
どうすればよいのでしょう。頭が良すぎると言うか、
へそ曲りと言った方がいいのか、とにかく、
実力がありながら、力が発揮できない人は、
そんな人と思います。
　結局、自分の形を持っていないのです。
　いや、忘れているのかもしれません。
　どんな経験でも良いのです、
自分自身の輝いた瞬間を思い出してみましょう。
　必ずあるはずです。
　それさえあれば、調子が悪ければ、
調子の良いときに戻せばいいのです。
　写真でも日記でもビデオでも調子の良かった頃の
言葉や癖などを思い出すためのアイデアとなるはずです。
　精神面やものの考え方に狂いが来ているのか
　ただ単に疲れているのか、自己分析してみましょう。
　ふつうに生きれば、人間は、幸せに生きられるはずです。
　変な意地を張ったり、無駄なことに力を使ったりするから、
不幸を招くのです。
　また、星でも太陽でも、創造の女神様でも何でも良いから
信じるものを作らなくてはなりません。
　「俺が信じるのは、自分の力だけ」という人がいますが、
こんな事を言う人で、常に実力を発揮し続けている人は、
自分の哲学を持っている方のように思います。
　ひょっとしたら、キリスト様や
お釈迦さまの生まれ変わりかも、知れません。
そうなるのが一番良いのです。
　そんな人は、勿論、例外です。
　とにかく、なんとかして、信じるものを見つけたい方には、
私の知る限りでは、世の中には、１００パーセントの人は
いないのですから、できるだけ、沢山の人の話を聞いて、
自分の哲学を確立されることをおすすめします。
　これは、苦難の道のりになるかもしれません。
　しかし、極めれば、その人の人生は輝かしものになります。
　私の見たかぎりでは、どんな素晴らしい考え方も、
所詮は、過去のもので、全ての場合に有効ではなく、
全ての人を幸せにはできないと思います。
　その時代、その国、その人によって書き換えなくては
いけないと思います。どんなにすばらしい哲学も所詮は
ヒントにすぎないのです。
　だから、私も、これは、良いことだと思えることは、
どんどん取り入れて行こうと考えています。
　分かっていても、なかなかできないことですが、
「出会う人は、みんな先生」と思う姿勢を持っていれば、
人間は死ぬまで進歩し続けるはずです。
　そして、できるだけ、単なる常識ではなく、
宇宙の真理に近いものを後世に伝えていかなくてはなりません。
　このように考えて行くと、
地球上に自分自身の存在する意義が、
遅かれ早かれ明確になってきます。
　こうなると、自信は、自然に生まれてきます。
