Thoughts of HARD THINGS
This is the 4th book introduction.
Author
Ben Horowitz
Summary
The author, Ben, shares his experiences with a parade of difficulties. For those involved in venture companies and new businesses, this book does not seem impersonal. The struggles of working in a venture company that doesn't work out, relationships with family members, and battles with giant corporations.
This is the story of an entrepreneur who eventually made it work, but 90% of the book is taken up with hard things. A memoir of an author who survived a world full of problems.
Impressions
I am not an entrepreneur. However, I once wanted to be an entrepreneur. Only once when I was a student, when I was full of unfounded confidence.
After that, I no longer had such aspirations, but when I entered the workforce, I found myself working with a venture mindset for a long time.
Hence, I read this book with mixed feelings.
However, this book is not limited entrepreneurs or those working in startups. It is extremely rich effective coping strategies for tackling negative events.
I reiterated that it is important to focus on the course, not the side walls.
