My Impression of HANA-Doll『THINK OF ME:CHOOSE』(English ver.)

HanaDoll is an "intellectually exciting drama CD content," ostensibly in the idol category.
Therefore, I think that many people start watching the music videos and listening dramas of this content because "the idol stuff looks interesting," "the characters are cool," or "I like the voice actors."
I was the same way, so for those who have not yet stepped into the world of HanaDoll, I hope you will cherish what you can see now.
(except for the latest CD dramas, you can experience the story of HanaDoll  for free on YouTube and other sites. )

However, as you follow their dramas, you will eventually learn what it means that this content is labeled as a "science fiction dystopian work".

*The following contains spoilers for the Louloudi final album "THINK OF ME:CHOOSE" to be released on June 14, 2024.

From the time the announcement of this final album was made, I thought I was prepared for it.
In the first place, I think we all have foreseen this kind of "demise" since Louloudi first appeared on the scene, and we have loved the music and their stories spun out of that decadent atmosphere.
And it was revealed by this third season that the HanaDoll project has had a number of deaths, and even their deaths have been mentioned.

Still, as Loumiel, I wanted to believe that there was a ray of hope for their future, and I wanted them to be saved. At the very least, I wanted them to continue living as human beings.
I believe that this album shattered that hope in a way that exceeded the worst-case scenario I had envisioned in my mind.
I saw in it more despair than death.

Louloudi's double win at the Music Awards was a surprise, given the recent trend of scenarios.
I thought that Louloudi's past actions, which had sometimes been criticized by fans who said that the old days were better and that they did not want Louloudi to come down within their reach, had unexpectedly come to fruition in the form of Ageha-sama's ideal.
And it was within my expectation that this would be the last stage for him.
I had always been afraid that Ageha-sama's efforts would end unrewarded by his fans' harsh criticism.
However, the development of the play "Bioagent" was completely different from that.
Even the human figure of a man dying from algae is consumed as a beautiful art form. I realized that I was standing on the side of the innocent fans who were complicit in this despair.

Since I am the biggest fan of Toki-kun, I thought that since Ageha-sama and Rui-san chose the path of destruction themselves after knowing the other side of this project, they must be in earnest even if they continue to push forward to the bad ending.
However, in the end, they did not choose to decay on stage as perfect idols, and Toki-kun, who had almost lost his ego, chose to "be with Ageha-san and Rui-san" rather than "continue living as a perfect idol."

What they really wanted was not to be a "perfect idol" but to have an existence, love, and a place where they would be accepted as human beings. And I think those things were in the bond between the three of them as Louloudi, no matter how distorted and sometimes harsh and cold it was.
If they were trapped in a world that did not treat them as human-beings, and the nearest faint warmth was the last thing they clung to, I would cherish it.

If Toki-kun was not just a victim who was destroyed without knowing the dark side of the project, and If he was able to stand by Ageha-sama and Rui-san to the end as a person they could turn their heart to him, that might be a kind of salvation.
Even so, I wanted to see Toki-kun laugh, cry, and be angry, and I wanted to see his eyes sparkle with joy at sweets again, and I wanted him to escape from this crazy world hand in hand with Haruta, who learned the truth, and Kaoru, whom he encountered that night.
I do not want to admit that the possibility of a future in which he, who has been suffering since childhood, can find normal, peaceful happiness in this world has been lost.

It is clear that the content of HanaDoll is a posture to sift through fans. Only those who want to know the truth can move on.
I of course love Anthos and want to see it through to the end. I have been looking forward to the summer event for a long time.
But even if there is a scenario in which all of Anthos's members can be saved, I don't want to allow the reality that the members of Louloudi, who have grown old together with us over the years, will not grow old any more,

As Loumiel, I will think of them forever and will continue to live with Louloudi's music.
I hope that their souls may rest in peace.
