みち　に　なるまで
Until it becomes a path

いちど　あるいて
きた　ミチを
The path I had once walked

すっかり　わすれて
たちどまる
I forgot about it and stop

さきに　すすんだ
はずなのに
I thought I moved forward

ふりかえったら
ざっそう　だらけ
but when I look back, weeds are everywhere

いま　きたミチは
ざっそう　だらけ
The path I just walked is covered by weeds

しかたないから
ひきかえす
I can't do anything about it so
I go back the way I came

あきらめきれず　に
もう　いちど
I can't give up so I go again

いったり　きたり
ふみならす
I stomp the path as I go back and forth

なんど　おうふく
しただろう
I wonder how many times I went back and forth

いつのまにか
いまきた　ミチは
Before I knew it, the path I just walked

たしかに
ミチになっていた
definitely became a path
