Cherry Blossoms

A path of cherry blossoms.

きょうは　ハナびえ・・・
ちょっとさむい

Today is Hana-bie.
It’s the cherry blossom season but it’s a bit cold.

きょうは　ハナぐもり・・・
あやしい　そらもよう

Today is Hana-gumori.
It’s the cherry blossom season but the sky is cloudy and it looks like it’s going to rain.

きょうは　ハナしぐれ・・・
つめたい　アメが　ふっている

Today is Hana-Shigure.
It’s the cherry blossom season but it’s drizzling cold rain.

きょうは　コボレさくら・・・
さくらが　キレイに　ちっている

Today is Kobore-sakura.
The cherry blossom petals are floating down from the tree.

きょうは　さくらナガシ・・・
アメと　いっしょに　ちっていく

Today is Sakura-nagashi.
The cherry blossom petals are falling down with the rain drops.

きょうは　さくらフブキ・・・
さくらが　みごとに　ちっている　

Today is Sakura-fubuki.
The cherry blossom petals are falling like it’s a snow storm.

きょうは　はなアラシ・・・
カゼが　さくらを　ちらしてく

Today is Hana-arashi.
The wind is blowing and carrying the cherry blossom petals away from the branches.

いつのまにか　はなムシロ
わたしの　はなミチ　カザってる

I notice Hana-mushiro.
The cherry blossom petals are covering my path.

ミズたまり　にも
はなイカダ　キレイにうかんだ　ままでいて

I see Hana-ikada on a puddle.
I hope the cherry blossom petals stay floating on the water.

ちょっと　ひといき　はなヅカレ
よし　もうすこし　あるいてみよう

I’m taking a break from Hana-zukare.
I am going to walk a bit more.
