冬のわずかな期間しか出荷されない希少品種であるひたちなか市のブランドイチゴ、その秘密を盗み出そうと、JA常陸阿字ヶ浦地区のいちご農園に産業スパイとして一人の男が潜入した。 時間をかけて職員からの信頼を得、男はイチゴの栽培場の管理を任されるまでになった。 そこで男が見た物は、従業員から甲斐甲斐しく世話をされ、次々とイチゴを生み出す巨大なイチゴの怪獣であった。 まさしく「苺の女王」と呼ぶにふさわしいその怪獣が放つ甘い香りを嗅いだ男は記憶を消され、男の脳にはイチゴの美味しさだけが残った。 こうしてまた一人、ひたちなかブランドのイチゴの愛好者が増えたのであった。
