筑波山にメガソーラーの建設計画が持ち上がった。地元住民や自治体の猛反対を押し切って伐採作業が始まると、突如ガマ洞窟の奥からガマガエルそっくりの怪獣が出現。もはやガマンの限界とばかりに、破壊される自然の怒りを代弁するが如く建設現場を破壊、市街地に侵攻する。怪獣を止めるべく自衛隊が出動するが、ガマの油ぎった怪獣のボディーは攻撃を滑らせて無効化してしまううえ、強力な治癒作用を持つガマの油によって多少のダメージは回復されてしまい、傷一つつけられない。打つ手無しかと思われたが、鏡面のビルに映った自分の姿を見た怪獣の動きが止まる。それに気付いた自衛隊は、筑波山ガマ口上保存会の指導のもと、巨大な鏡を設置する作戦を立てる。1枚が2枚、2枚が4枚、4枚が8枚…と回りを鏡で囲まれた怪獣は、鏡に映った自分の姿を見て敵に囲まれたと勘違いしたのか大量の油汗を流し、ガマ洞窟へ引き上げていった。残された大量のガマの油は、街の復興と森林の保護に大いに役立ったのだった。
