To distinguish “Prediction” from “Fantasy” if You want to use Positive-Thinking Right and Scientifically

I am not good at being positive because of my personality like...how can I say... “Not outgoing type”...is the best way to describe?

This comes from 2002, psychological research that they got “Positive-Thinking is getting in danger” into shape interestingly so let’s share!

This is the research to imagine when a student already be graduated from university and going to work positively for New York University students.
And after 2 years, the researcher rechecked again that the students who thought their job to be positive image got lower salary and even less interviews they got...

However, according to the researchers, they do not say that positive image is a reason for what the outcomes the students got, more importantly, how to distinguish “Prediction” and “Fantasy”. Something like that.

As the researchers say...
“There are two ways to think for a future are “Prediction” and “Fantasy”.
Highly possible to correlate If you think of positive prediction, you will make huge effort to success and will get high outcome. Because positive prediction is how to assess high possibility for your future with hope.
If you think of positive imagination, well, In adversely you will get opposite outcomes. Because positive imagination is how to visualize desirable future.

Simply you visualize something you will get lost what you plan to accomplish so your focus or your energy for it going lower in fact...

Let’s clear a mind for a difference between “Prediction” and “Fantasy”

* Prediction : To decide for the future possibility based on the fact from the past memory. For example, you succeeded on the diet using calorie restriction method before so now, you already know how much daily diet from your meals that you need to reduce so that you can achieve your goal this time again because of the past you did. After all, it’s just based on the fact.

* Fantasy : Experiencing what you hope for the future in your brain right now. For example, even you never did on the diet and succeeded but you imagine you already achieve on the diet. It is not be based on the fact at all.

This study got other data for letting students predict negatively and the result was “positive imagination” got less rate of future success.
