Four Points of How You can manage not to age your body by Iron prodigally

Well then, let’s review from previous blog...
1. The iron is connected to protein in a body and becomes an agent called “Ferritin”
2. This “Ferritin” easily gets oxidative
3. When Ferritin increases, a cells will be damaged insidiously
4. So the body gets aged

I wrote previous blog that iron is highly important mineral in our body so you don’t want to be too few of it. But from previous one, it could be more dangerous to take iron too much.

So this time’s theme is “How we can prevent from harmful iron?” Let’s get to the heart of it.

Measure 1 : Mediterranean Diet
There has been many articles in the world already that saying it is almost guaranteed for anti-aging. I will let you know as soon as I collect some knowledge.
Well then, there is a article from 2007, showed “Is it effective for a matter of iron by taking Mediterranean diet?” So here I share it with you.

This article researched any differences between Greece people with traditional Mediterranean meal and a Netherlanders with normal meal.

What comes up with...
* Greece people reduced ferritin level to half than netherlanders did!! (69.8vs134.2)

That’s the proven Mediterranean meal are lower oxidation levels, I see...

It is yet unsure why that differences came up... perhaps,
* The Mediterranean meals are less consumption of red meat, which has plenty of iron
* Greece people eats the meal contained with dietary fiber so that they could control absorption of iron...

That’d be a dominant. Likely having fishes and vegetables a lot.

Measure 2 :Short-term fasting
In fact that short-term fasting is highly recommended for a provision for iron!!

Because this article showed that a hormone called “Hepcidin” is increased.

This “Hepcidin” works suppress iron metabolites and the more the hepcidin increases, suppressing iron absorption.

Measure 3 :Blood Donation
I wrote previous blog that highly possibilities that women are more longer longevity than men are. Because women extract useless iron from their body. That’s why women is more vulnerable for anemia, perhaps...)

There are several observational studies out there and they are almost alike that “a person who donates their blood makes them younger!” I will share one of those for you...

* They researched 181 men who have been donating in six months in the past and showing the result of improving their insulin resistance!!!

Well, most of them is the observational study so can’t tell you that you can trust it or not...

But in my opinion, I am not kind of great donor for the blood, to be honest. So worth to test by my self once in a year. It is enough to donate once in a year by the way.
I can hear your voice that how much amount of blood should I donate?
The answer is 500cc for once and it extract 200~250mg iron from your body. The result may hit ferritin levels gets down to 37%

Measure 4 :Polyphenols
It’s already most of us knowing because many studies have give us how great it gives the effect for our body, it’s almost certainty.
One of reason for that is “It can suppress iron absorption?” Something like that.

However, on my basis as one of coffee lover(perhaps already the addicted?) next article got my attention.
Because...
* Coffee and Tea have their polyphenols and it is rather effective like coffee is 36%, and tea is 64% that work on iron absorption.
* But of course if you are kinda anemia don’t take too much of them especially, tea.
