NFT to be supported by Instagram soon.

Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Meta (Meta=formerly Facebook), indicated on March 15 at the SXSW event in Austin, Texas, that Instagram will support NFTs (non-replacement tokens).
Zuckerberg commented at the event, "We are working on supporting NFTs within Instagram in the near future. While he said he could not yet announce details, he intends to add the ability to create NFTs within the next few months.
There has been some movement on the support of NFTs on Instagram for some time.
Last December, Adam Mosseri, Instagram's technical leader, said that the company is "actively researching NFTs. He said that it was not an official announcement, but that they were "exploring how to spread NFT to different demographics.
In January of this year, sources revealed that Facebook and Instagram are developing ways to create and sell NFTs. According to the Financial Times, which obtained the information, internal tests were already in the process of being conducted.
Meta changed its name from Facebook in October last year and announced its intention to focus on the Metaverse business. The support of NFT in its own services can be said to be part of its efforts related to the Metaverse. In the future, the company is looking into the possibility of converting the clothes worn by avatars in the metaverse to NFT.
Metaverse and NFT are said to have a high affinity, and it is expected that companies outside of the metaverse will also take initiatives in the future.

In January of this year, Twitter added a function that allows users to set NFT as an icon. This function is limited to users of the Twitter Blue subscription service. The set NFTs are displayed as hexagons, and metadata and other information can also be viewed.
