The Beatlesの最後の新曲「Now and Then」が11月2日（英国時間）にリリースされた。

　ジョン・レノンが亡くなる前にカセットテープに録音された音をもとにAIによる音声分離処理技術を用いて，ジョン・レノンのボーカル抽出をミックスしてレコーディングしたという。2001年にジョージ・ハリソンが亡くなってしまったが，1995年に録音していたハリソンのギターソロをもとに，ポール・マッカートニーが弾いている。ジョン・レノン，ジョージ・ハリソン，リンゴ・スター，ポール・マッカートニーによるThe Last Beatles Songである。

　ジョン・レノンが亡くなってから43年近くになろうとしている今において，The Beatlesの最後の新曲がリリースされるとは，これまでに想像にもしなかったことであるが，この時を共有することができてとても幸せである。

　The Beatlesと言えば，赤盤と青盤のLP盤ジャケットをレコード針でレコード盤が擦り切れてしまうほどに，毎日，ステレオで聴いていた高校生時代の頃を思い出し，この新曲を聴くと，40年超も長く空いた時が過ぎたことを忘れてしまうような感じがする。

Speaking of The Beatles, I remember my high school days when I used to listen to their red and blue LP records on my stereo, to the point where the record needle wore them out. When I listen to this new song, it feels like I've forgotten that over 40 years have passed since those days.
