Foley Stage Expansion! 〜Part 6〜 フォーリースタジオ増設の記録。

Inspiration: Splash pad!   イメージは岩風呂！

It is very important for the ”splash pad” to have an easy access. No need for a big setup like putting out a pool or dragging a long hose every time we need a run on a beach. Also  to be out of way of other things. We already have an easy access to a  hot tub for doing big water stuff in one of our studios, so this one will handle all the other water needs. From A beach, river, mud hole, caves or a bathtub.

水場は何かと支度がガチャガチャしがちなので,　さっと使えるアクセスの良さがあると嬉しい、ってのがまずありまして。砂浜を走ってるカップルの足がぱちゃぱちゃ、程度のことが多いので、その度にセットアップが面倒では効率が悪いですから。大きなタンクは他の部屋にすでにあるので、深い水は引き続きそちらを使うことにして、水たまり〜膝くらいのよくある深さの水系、泥系、お風呂系を効率よくこなせるやつがいいなと。日本で温泉とか、スーパー銭湯行くたびにいつもインスピレーションをもらうのでした。

Shape of water.　水の形を彫る。　

この水のエリアのデザインは、特に説明が難しかったので、紙粘土で作りました。３Dアニメーションとかできないにしてもどうなんだっていうくらいのアナログな方法で恥ずかしかったんだけど、粘土の模型は職人さんたちには受けがよかったす。それのデカいバージョンをセメントでマンマ作れば良いわけだから。

Since I have zero skills at 3D animation of any sort, I've used my super-precise(?) cardboard model to explain our ideas to the builders. A little clay model was needed to explain the curves and shapes of this strange trough. It also was pretty goofy but thanks to the amazing workers, look at what became of it!!

It will actually be behind the curtains hanging on the exterior canopy but the wall will be treated to be non-reflective. That way it can be made exterior for a beach or open up to the interior of a bathroom. A mud pit and puddles will be made right beside it.

いろんなバチャバチャに対応。 wet, weT, WET!!

位置的には屋外環境用のキャノピーと 壁の間になるんだけど、壁はカーテンと防水カーペットで反響を抑えます。すぐそばに泥沼が作れるピット、セメントには水たまり用の凹みもあります。これでビーチや雨などの屋外シーン、バスルームや洞窟などの屋内シーンにも効率よく対応できる予定であります！
