訳注　TRANSLATORS NOTES

＜１＞ This is a word play on 幸内炎 (Kounaien) written as: こーない　えーん (Koonai, een). The "een" here is an onomatopoeia for crying.

＜２＞ This refers to the ice-cream brand Seventeen Ice, produced by Glico and sold exclusively in vending machines - each vending machine offers seventeen different ice cream flavors to choose from.

＜３＞The original line here uses the word 免罪符 (Menzaifu) which is the Catholic "indulgence" - being forgiven/exempt from a punishment for a sin that has already been forgiven for you (is what Wikipedia is telling me). However, the word indulgence holds a slightly different meaning in the English language, so for the sake of clarity I decided to translate it as just "being forgiven".

When I was studying in Japan my favorite flavor of 17 Ice cream were always the blue (soda flavored?) ones. There was also a white vanilla flavored one with sprinkles that I also loved!!
