Hugh Jackman & Taron Egerton Interview 2016 The Jonathan Ross Show

Q.Hugh you were young man when Eddie was first burst in the scene, Eddie the Eagle was he big news in Australia?

ロス：エディが活躍したてのとき、ヒューの地元オーストラリアでも話題になってた？

 H: He’s an ultimate I do remember jumping off my mates into the pool pretending EtE during all that time he was huge!

ヒュー：もちろん！みんな知っていたし友達とエディの真似してプールにとびこんでたよ

Q. Taron how about you? much younger than both of us. You weren’t even born!

ロス：タロンはまだ生まれてもいなかったよね？

T: No I was born in 1989. I knew nothing about his story Matthew called me about it and said "you would like something different after Kingsman I came up with this idea Eddie the Eagle", I’ve read the script it’s pretty incredible.

タロン：そうだね、僕89年生まれだから（88年カルガリーオリンピックで注目されたエディについては）マシューから教えてもらうまで全く知らなかった。「キングスマンの次に毛色の違うものを撮るけどどう？」って聞かれて台本をよんでこれは面白そう！と思った

Q. When he said you are perfect for the role, when you saw Eddie look- like were you disappointed or hateful because he’s type isn’t he?

ロス：エディ役にぴったりだと言われて、どう思った？キングスマンのエグジーやタロン、君自身ともちょっと…タイプが違うでしょう？　※イケメンではない

T:(Nodding)　→うなずく
T: Eddie is actually good looking guy but 1989 you’re quite right he had quite character and underbite, coated with glasses but Matthew felt I can do different from Kingsman and it's resistible challenge

タロン：エディは本当はカッコいいひとだよ、89年当時は確かに、受け口でぶ厚いビン底メガネで、独特の雰囲気だったけれど、キングスマン（エグジー）とはまったく違うキャラクターをやるのはすごいチャレンジだった

Q.You didn’t use Prosthetics  so could you capture the face whiling in the film?

ロス：特殊メイクはなしだったとか。エディの表情つくれる？

T: No not so ever

タロン：いいよーQ. We have the Eddie The Eagle glasses!

ロス：はい。エディ眼鏡をご用意しておりますT: I’ve been this show twice and both time I’ve been wearing EtE glasses

H: (Laugh) 

タロン：この番組2回目なんだけど、毎度このネタだね（笑）　

※前回コリンと出演したときも、次回作はこれ！といってエディ眼鏡をかけさせられていた…

そしてエディ顔がツボらしく毎度爆笑するヒュー

Q.Incredible. Hugh how’s was it though working together?

ロス：すばらしいね。ヒュー、タロンと共演してどうだった？

H: I just laughed, he made me laugh so much everyday doing Eddie's face. He’s funniest guy I ever met He’s absolutely brilliant Eddie.

ヒュー：ずっとエディの顔真似するたび笑いっぱなしだったよ！

Q.You’re playing Eddie’s coach but it’s not real person?

ロス：今回あなたはエディのコーチという役柄だけど、そこだけフィクションだよね？

H : No but I suppose there’s few liberty with his life to tell the story Eddie told me about 30 kind of coaches who people got tips from or equipment from there’s no one real coach but obviously smartly instead mounted the role into the one as my character, ex-jumper.

ヒュー：エディの人生を語るにあたってすこしばかり手を加えた。実際オリンピック出場にあたってアドバイスをもらったり、スキージャンプに必要なツールを用意してくれたり、エディが関わった人間は30人以上いたけれど、本当の意味での「コーチ＝指導者」はいなかった。それらをひとつのキャラにぶちこんで、元選手という肩書を与えてみたんだ。

Q. There’s sequences in the movie you’re encouraging Eddie I guesses that kind you bit more trying, you release stuff inside you 

ロス：映画のなかで、エディのモチベーションアップのために励ますシーンがあるけど、あれなに？(笑）　←海外予告にある「ウルヴァリンのごとく吠えるヒュー」を指してるのかな？

H : Really embracing animal with in *grin

ヒュー：内なる野獣が…（ニヤニヤ）

Q.Five minutes sequences you just love making faces!

ロス：五分くらい顔芸してるよね←

H : To be fair when my wife saw it she turned me and said “it doesn’t look anything like that"

ヒュー：あのシーンはうちのカミさんにつっこまれた（笑）

Q. So Taron you are really buff-shaped for Kingsman do they ask you lose some of fitness?

ロス：タロンはキングスマン続編に向けて身体をいい感じにつくっているね。エディを演じるときは筋トレしなかったの？

T : No basically Matthew who is director of Kingsman also produced EtE held a whip behind me for Kingsman force me to get into the shape same things in now so he doesn’t to that, EtE happens!

タロン：プロデューサーのマシュー・ボーンは、キングスマンの時にそれはもうスパルタだったんだ。エグジーの身体を造るのは大変。続編撮影が始まったいまもそう。エディ～では締め付けがなかったから、ゆるゆるボディのまま（笑）

Q. So that’s more comfortable I guess it’s nice

ロス：それはよかったね

T: Sorry any fun I gained in Kingsman but that’s real me, not gonna change any time soon.

タロン：エグジーファンのひとには申し訳ないけど、どちらかというとこっち＝エディが僕だよ～

Q .But cuddly person is nice

ロス：ぽっちゃりも素敵だよ （抱き心地がいいじゃない！）

T : Cuddly (soft and sweet and chubby), Sure

タロン：ぽっちゃりね、そうだね（照）

Q.There’s a rumor there isn’t be truth you may be playing Young Han Solo?

ロス：ハン・ソロのスピンオフ映画で、候補にあがってるって本当？

T: I’ve heard this rumor I’ve seen stuff on the incident I think any you know last of my age would kill to play that part it’s very flattering but I know if there’s any truth in it and Lucasfilm Disney have it there is then you know where I am..

タロン：色々噂されてるのは知ってる。この世代で若きハン・ソロを演じる機会があるなら光栄だし、ぜひともと言いたいけど、まあ先方も僕の連絡先は知ってるとおもうので…（ごにょごにょ）

Q. Lucas Film and Disney haven’t contacted you yet？

ロス：ルーカスフィルム、ディズニーからコンタクトはあった？

T: No

タロン：ないね…

Q.Then it won’t be you

ロス：じゃ脈なしだな！ヒューはどう？

ヒュー：ないねー（実は来てるけどタロン黙っといて！的なコントをしながら）でもタロンはオーディション受けるべきだよ

タロン：チューバッカはいけるんじゃない？

ヒュー（ものまね）※ふつう

タロン（ものまね）※めっちゃうまい
