My favorite comic is "Attack on Titan". 

This is very a masterpiece. My brain blew up when I read for the first time.

Some famous names begin with the scene in which the main character's mam dies of attack by enemies. However, Elen's case is unusual. 

The female titan ate his mother and tore her head off the body in front of his face. That's horrible. 

This expression represents "Attack on Tian." but you will find out the astonishing fact after Elen goes through the walls and reaches the basement of Grisha, who is Elen's father. 

Titans are transformed from ordinary human beings, and the titan who killed Elen's mother was Grisha's ex-wife. In addition, this result was genuinely caused by Elen's will. 

In the final part, Elen obtained the power of "Founding Titan," which enabled him to take control of entire giants and to freely manipulate the memories of Ymirs. 

He intentionally made the female titan go towards his mother and prey on her by triggering the commanding ability. 

 Why did this happen? Was Elen just stupid and unreasonable?
COMPLETELY NOT.

I believe the reason is that people on all continents didn't attempt to understand who the people inside the island were. They truly needed to do that. Walls were created by the kind of Ymir to defend nations from furious giants, even though people around the world indeed constructed barricades by ignoring thoughts of "devils in the island". The sole existing trying to surmount double obstacles was The Scout Regiment.  

Fear mind comes from innocence. In the story, continental people could get together under ambition for resistance and became a strongly connected company. However, that eventually resulted in "The Rumbling."

One character in my favorite novel said that the communicating ability is "not giving up communication ability."

It is a proverb engraved on my mind.
