終戦記念日

Today is(yesterday in the U.S.) the anniversary of the end of World War II...
今日は終戦記念日ですね。

I feel really blessed our country not having war.
日本に戦争がない状態を、心より幸せに思います。

I believe my country is able to run right now because the victims and ancestors fought for us in various wars in the past.
今の日本は過去の戦争における多大な犠牲者の方々のお陰にて成り立っていると考えます。

That makes me really lucky because I'm doing what I want to do.
Appreciating the victims and ancestors and everybody in the society makes me think more about what I can do for the others.

そう考えるといま自分が好きなことができていることは凄く幸せなことですし、戦争で犠牲になった方々はもちろん、世の中の全ての人に感謝しつつ、自分のできることは微力ですが何かお役に立てることはないか考える毎日です。

Let’s all do what we have to do from tomorrow. Night.
