4月27日のテリー・グロスの ポッドキャスト、Fresh Airに A Late Showのホスト、スティーヴン・コルベアが登場しました。

スティーヴン・コルベアといえば、2016年11月の大統領選でトランプ候補の勝利が決定した時のライブ番組での彼のとまどいが、強烈に印象に残っています。

以降、彼はトランプ大統領に対して、他のレイトナイトショーのホストたちi以上に怒りをストレートに表現し、それを辛辣な笑いにまで昇華させてきました。それがきっかけとなり、それまで視聴率トップだったジミー・ファロンを抜いて、１位（2019年4月のこの記事によると、1位はコルベア、2位はジミー・キンメル、3位がジミー・ファロン）になったと記憶しています。

そのコルベアが、2021年4月27日のFresh Airに登場しました。

I think something you really managed to do so well is to convey real anger in your monologues, and convey how disturbing you are finding Trump's actions, his misstatements, his lies to be the explicit or implicit racism in many of his statements and policies.

But at the same time, you were showing genuine anger and real concern for the future of our democracy. You also managed to be funny, and I think that is so hard.

You've gotten some practice during the campaign but is that something you really had to figure out how to do more so, once Trump became president?
