1. start

start off by
始めに行う

talk back 
you answer them in a rude way.

talk down
無線誘導する

The control tower talked down the plane whose pilot fell ill.

talk into
言いくるめる

If you talk a person into doing something they do not want to do, especially something wrong or stupid.

Do not be talked into buying a converter.
説得されてコンバーターを買わないこと。

But I was talked into it by my boyfriend.

persuadeとtalk intoの違い

You can be persuaded by things which are not talk. You might remember something, or you might see something, and these things will make you change your mind. But if you were talked into it, somebody used words. 

talk out
徹底的に論じる、討論で解決する

They need to talk out their differences.
彼らは自分たちの違いを話し合う必要がある。

She started to talk out loud unconsciously. 彼女は無意識のうちに大きな声で話し始めた。

talk someone out of ... 
= you persuade not to do something.

Several judges tried to talk him out of going to trial.

talk over 
= discuss it thoroughly

brush against
触れる

Her fingers suddenly brushed against a plastic wrapper.

brush againstとtouchの違い

“Brushed against” means touched lightly.

Touched - full contact. 
brushed - swipe lightly while passing by.

brush past
すれ違う=passed by

She gently brushes past him, almost touching.
彼女は彼を優しく追い越して、ほとんど触れない。

I hate it when one of these guys brushes past me.
この中の誰かが私を通り過ぎるのは嫌だな。

brush with someone
小ぜり合い; 抵触

His occasional brushes with Kelly remain tense.

brush with something

brush aside or brush away
無視する, 払いのける

Therefore health issues are deliberately brushed aside.

brush awayとsweepについて

“I will sweep with a broom.”
“I can brush away the dust with a broom.”

This is a saying: “I can sweep you off your feet.”

You sweep with something, but you brush away something else.

のようです。
