ペーパー ブッシュ（PAPER BUSH）

アオイ目、ジンチョウゲ科、ミツマタ属

背丈が高いと２ｍにもなる落葉低木。

この植物の樹皮の繊維が強くて丈夫、長持ち
をする事から、昔から重要な文書類を始めとし
番傘にまでも使用されるもの。

東洋、西洋共に神の材料として重要な位置に
ある植物で、学名にも洋名にもそれが名称に
なっている。

そろそろ各地でのこの花の季節は終わりを
告げる時期、撮り納めの写真となる。

今年の７月３日には、日本国の新たな紙幣が
顔を揃えることになる。この紙幣には全て
このペーパーブッシュ、三椏（ミツマタ）が
使われている。その数があまりにも多い為に
国内産では、供給がまかないきらない事から
ベトナム産のこれが使われる。

This plant holds significant importance as a divine material in both Eastern and Western cultures, reflected in its scientific and common names.


It's almost time for the season of this flower to come to an end in various places, marking the last chance to capture photos.


On July 3rd of this year, Japan will introduce new banknotes. All of these banknotes will feature the Paper Bush, known as Mitsumata in Japanese. Due to insufficient domestic supply, these banknotes will be made using Paper Bush from Vietnam.
