Telegram has announced plans to launch a mini-app store with support for Web3 pages, aiming to increase user engagement with blockchain technology and promote transparency and decentralization​ (The Daily Hodl)​.

Founder Pavel Durov stated that 2024 will be a landmark year for blockchain awareness. The introduction of the mini-app store and in-app browser will make accessing Web3 pages easier for users.

"We are proud that Telegram is at the epicenter of this societal transformation. This month, we will introduce a mini-app store and in-app browser with Web3 support. We will also enhance our efforts to fight scammers and promote transparency and decentralization," said Durov.

Telegram, once officially linked with the TON (The Open Network) blockchain project, parted ways with it in 2020 following legal issues with the SEC. However, TON can still be sent within Telegram's platform, managed by an open-source community.
