DMM英会話を2023年1月から始めた人の復習note
聞き取れなかった部分をレッスンの録音機能で聞き返したり、気になった部分をメモ
【2023.04】#39〜40
●ついにChrome文字起こしに"can"を"can"として認識されるようになった！！笑（"kən"でいける）
●声が小さくなってしまったり、フリーズすることがなくなってきた
（最近対面のスクールの方でもはっきり話せるようになってきて嬉しい…発音はペタペタだけど）
●品詞を意識するようになってきた
（学生時代は全く意識したことがなかった…文を整理しやすくなるんだね…）

○セルビアの男性講師の方と
DMM始めたての2ヶ月前とかだったら多分聞き取れなかったんじゃ…というくらいネイティブのようなスピード感で話す方だった
数箇所聞き取れず曖昧にうなづいてしまったところもあれど、ほぼ支障なく会話ができて嬉しかった！Podcastや推しV配信で耳が慣れてきたおかげ…
文法の間違いを直してくれる方はたまにいるけど、「何故こう言ったほうがいいのか」まで踏み込んで教えてくれたのはDMMでは初めて…！！
英語自体に関する記事だったのでそれも相まって濃ゆい25分だった。
あと、VTuberのことを知ってる方も始めただった😂笑（Podcastでその話題を聞いたことがあるよ！という程度でも）
↓ お勧めされたPodcastを聞いみたけど、学習者向けでもない友達同士のおしゃべりという雰囲気の番組で、今の私にはかなり聞き取るのが厳しい…逆に、これについていけたらかなりリスニングに自信持てそう…いつか…

●I thought that most famous VTubers are actually Japanese.
Nothing English speaking.
（VTuberという単語を出したら、こう返されてびっくりした…！！知ってるの！？！？！ってなった😂）
●They like to joke around or the argue a lot between each other.
They argue about stupid topics. It's kind of funny

●My major was English in university, but I had mandatory for four semesters of another language and I took Greek.

"subject" and "object" pronouns
「主語」代名詞か「目的語」代名詞かによって
"You and I"なのか"You and me"なのかが変わってくる（けどネイティブスピーカーですらあんま細かく使い分けを気にしてないことが多い）という記事のディスカッション。
Youtubeでこの類の話題の動画を見たことがあったけど結局理解してなかった…それがこの記事で解決された😂笑
スクールの先生に、単語の品詞を覚えたほうが話す時にも整理しやすいよ！って言われたけど、最近になってようやく意味がわかってきた…
（学生の頃は微塵も気にしていなかった）
"even"よくわからん
●But only in some specific cases like when you put “I" at the end of a sentence. Most people just use “me" nowadays and I think it's accepted even some grammatical you should use “I” but some people use “me" in a few cases.
→"even"の使いところがいまいち分かってない…けど、英英辞書を見たほうがなんかしっくりきた。日本語訳が微妙なニュアンスで理解しづらい時は英語で雰囲気を覚えようと思った
（"even"のみの場合は強調したい部分の前につけるだけで、そこまで深い意味を考える必要は無さそう…？？多分…わからん…）
●I think I would not be able to explain it like that because I guess I'm kind of like native speakers. I don't usually think about something like that and even though I studied grammar and stuff like that.
●Even if I learn English vocabulary, it's hard to actually speak using them.
語彙と文法どっちを優先すべきか
ーWould you say that knowing grammar is more important than knowing vocabulary? という設問に関して
●If you're learning the basics of a language, the more grammar you study, the more boring it becomes for you.
And if you learn a lot of grammar, but you don’t know that vocabulary, then you don't use the grammar to learn, and you forget it and I think that's the problem you have to learn grammar like a lot later I think.
→言語の基礎を学ぶ場合、文法をたくさん勉強すればするほど、その言語がつまらなくなる。
また、文法をたくさん学んでも、その語彙を知らなければ、文法を使って学習することはなく忘れてしまうので、文法を学ぶのはかなり後回しにしなければならない問題だと思う。
●How made some phrases, some stuff like that kind of help with grammar too, because if you learned this phrase or this sentence, then you learn how some grammar is used, how they use the grammar and maybe you don't know what's this grammar is but okay.
覚えた単語は間違えを恐れずにどんどん使って話してけばいいよ。間違えたらその後さらに使い方を意識できるようになるから！と言われた。
ごもっとも…使い所の自信のなさで"even"を一度も使って話したことがないから早速次回から…
"in"か"since"か
●I started in January.
●I've been with DMM since January.
"I started DMM since January."と言ったら、上記のように使い分けるのが正しいよと理由と一緒に教えてくれた。
確かに〜…これ思いっきり日本語脳奴が苦手な部分…多分今まで何十回も間違った言い方してた。指摘してもらえるのありがたいなぁ…
「その時の1点」なのか「その時から今に至るまでの期間」なのかの違い
●You cannot say “since" because it's not just the time when you begin so that's finished “since" is like a long period of time.
So "from January to now" right, but start is just one point in January.

○インドの男性講師の方と
こっちが喋るのをずっと待っててくれるタイプのレッスンだった…かなり頑張ってたくさん喋った気がするけど、伝わってたのか微妙😂
講師の方より生徒が積極的にいっぱい喋ったほうが練習になるとは思っているけど、やっぱりそこまで長く喋ることもできず、むしろ不安になるという…
この記事で村上春樹の新作が近日発売されると知った！
そして偶然最近「騎士団長殺し」を読み始めたのでタイムリーだった。
p.s このノート書いてる時にはもう新刊発売されてて、本屋さんで「あ！！」ってなった…しれっと並んでいた…
【メモ】
●I work freelance, so it doesn't matter if it's weekdays or weekends.
→「フリーランスだから平日か週末かは関係ないんよ…」前確認したことあったのに"if it's"が丸ごと抜けてた…
●I'm certified by Cambridge.
○certified→（形）認定された、免許付きの
○Biography→伝記
○Autobiography→自伝（自分で自分を書いた伝記）
weirdとstrangeじゃなくてーー！！
●His stories are very unique and his writing is distinctive.
→他の語彙が思いつかなくてweird,strangeを多用してしまった…ネガティブな感じに伝わってたかな…
○unique（唯一の、類のない）
→being the only existing one of its type or, more generally, unusual, or special in some way
○distinctive（独特の、特有の）
→easy to recognize because it is different from other things

●author who passed away → "polite" expression for die
●His writing is unique, so sometimes I see people posting sentences on social media that mimic his writing style!
○mimic → to copy the way in which a particular person usually speaks and moves, usually in order to make people laugh
★Sometimes when I read his novels, I don't know if I'm reading a novel or dreaming.
→彼の小説を読んでいと、小説を読んでいるのか夢を見ているのかわからなくなる時がある
これ言えて嬉しかった…
「ドライブマイカー」の映画を観た時は、映画を観てるのか村上春樹小説を読んでるのかわからなくなるような、小説を読んでる時と同じような感覚を感じたシーンがあった…あの…長回しの…
そういうこともつらつら英語でも喋れたら最高だな…
