Zuckerberg's Metaverse seems to use avatars that seem to pay homage to Nintendo (an example of a successful person). For business, I think that following Nintendo's direction is different.

As an example of a failure that occurred in Japan in the past, "Compile", a game development maker famous for the game "Puyo Puyo", used the popularity of "Puyo Puyo" as a weapon to develop and sell groupware products for business use. The business failed and went bankrupt.

With the current technology,the realization of a digital twin is fraught with costly work. Due to this,it is not in a situation for widespread adoption. But, some fields already have digital twins. Ex., the financial sector has a digital twin (bank account) of cash, etc.

ザッカーバーグ氏のメタバースは、任天堂(成功者の一例)にオマージュされているようなアバタを使ってる気がしてきた。ビジネス向けで、任天堂に倣うのは、方向性が違うように思います。

過去、日本で起きた失敗事例としては、ゲーム「ぷよぷよ」で有名なゲーム開発メーカであるコンパイルは、「ぷよぷよ」の知名度を武器にしたのだけど、ビジネス向けのグループウェアの製品開発並びに販売で、ビジネスに失敗して倒産しました。当時の顧客ニーズに合致していなかったのだと思います。

現状の技術では、デジタルツインの実現には、費用かさむ作業が付きまとうという問題があります。この問題のために、普及が広がる状況ではない。但し、既にデジタルツインを有する分野もあります。例えば、金融分野は現金のデジタルツイン（銀行口座）を持つ。天候観測、道路交通状況、地図、等。
