親愛なる息子へ

今朝はね

朝早くから、君を　おばあちゃんに預かってもらったよ。

昨日伝えた通り、Papaは仕事で大きなイベントもあったからね。

昨夜(Papaと　Mamaは少し言い争いをしたんだ💦) だけども、

Mamaには、休んでもらいたくて、Papaの妹に家に来てもらいヘルプを頼んだよ。君の洗濯物や、あとPapaたちの食事を作ってくれた。
いやぁ、おばあちゃんも、妹にも、姪っ子にも、助けられてるよ。

Papaが帰ってきた時、Mamaも明るい感じで、海外にいるおじさんと話をしていて、元気を取り戻していたみたいでホッとした。

そのおじさんとは、Papaもあったことがあってね、本当に気さくで感じの良い方なんだ。
Mamaと、そのおじさんと一緒に　昨年、Mamaのお父さんのお墓に行ったことを思い出すよ。

今日は、姪っ子のAちゃんが来ていたんだけど、PapaとMamaと一緒に　君の手形、足形を
とったよ。君は何をさせられているんだろう、って感じだったと思うけれどね。

笑いながら、四苦八苦しながら、どうやったらうまく　手形をおせるだろうかと考えながら、実施したよ。最後、Papaの妹も姪っ子を迎えにきて
たくさん写真を撮ってくれた。

本当に素敵な時間だった

君との色々な思い出や、感情のデザートを、
できる限り覚えておけるように、そして　できる限り、いつでも引き出せるように、していきたいなとも思う。それがPapaの大きな幸せでもあるよ。

Mamaも一緒ならいいな。

Dear Son

Dear Son,

This morning, we had your grandmother look after you early.

As I mentioned yesterday, Papa had a big event at work.

Last night, Papa and Mama had a bit of an argument💦, but I wanted Mama to get some rest. So, I asked Papa’s sister to come over and help. She did your laundry and made meals for us. We were really supported by your grandmother, aunt, and cousin.

When Papa came home, Mama was in a good mood, talking to her uncle overseas. It was a relief to see her feeling better.

I’ve met that uncle before; he’s really friendly and kind. It reminds me of when Mama, her uncle, and I visited Mama’s father’s grave last year.

Today, your cousin A-chan came over, and we took your hand and footprints together. You probably wondered what was happening!

We laughed and struggled, trying to get a good print. In the end, Papa’s sister came to pick up A-chan and took lots of pictures.

It was a truly wonderful time.

I want to remember all the special moments and feelings we share, and be able to recall them anytime. That’s one of Papa’s greatest joys.

I hope Mama feels the same.
