CRAZYTANK News vol.208 Companies and employees that properly understand social change and are not afraid of change will be more valued in the future.

CRAZYTANK News started in July 2020 and has been a weekly newsletter of about 2,000 to 3,000 words, providing information on "CRAZYTANK's current situation“. We are very grateful for the feedback we have received from our subscribers. However, due to feedback from subscribers, we have decided to make it available in NOTE for a fee starting in late October 2021. In addition, we have decided to start offering the service free of charge on a trial basis from October 2023.

This is the place where each week we will tell you about what we are doing and what we are thinking. While heavy rainfall and flood damage due to the rainy season and unprecedented heat continue in many parts of Japan, it seems that countries overseas are also suffering from abnormal weather. We strongly feel the need to take concrete actions to protect ourselves.

The other day, we were talking in our company about the great effect of sprinkling water, and we feel that simple, old-fashioned methods contain many ideas that can save us living in the modern world. Even if it is simple, we should continue to take positive actions to live positively even in this continuing abnormal weather.

Now, in this week's communication, a news article dated 7/15 (holiday) “RWA Tokenization, Outpacing Crypto Assets.”will be featured. We will also write about why we at CRAZYTANK believe it is especially important for companies and employees to have a proper understanding of society and to act without fear of change.

At CRAZYTANK, we communicate within ourselves and within our clients that it is important to

“Proper understanding of society“.

In particular, the pace of social change is accelerating year by year, and what was considered new yesterday may seem old tomorrow... We are now living in such an era.

This is a world of high-speed change in conjunction with the evolution speed of generative AI, especially after 2022 when chatGPT was introduced.

Many of you may have a firsthand sense that there are many unfamiliar technologies and services emerging.

CRAZYTANK, led by its president Takehana, continues its own information gathering activities on a daily basis.

What we were talking about in yesterday's meeting, “Let's do this!“, the next day, however, they may say, “Let's move on to the next one!“, it is an everyday occurrence for us to change our policy at high speed.

The same is true for the client companies that CRAZYTANK works with.

Currently, we meet with the companies we are involved with once a week, or at least once every other week.

Here, we have time to provide the latest information tailored to the company, our own “interpretation” of that information, and our “unique future predictions” derived from that information.

We value this kind of information sharing and discussion time for at least one to two hours during our meetings.

Until now, companies are probably reviewing the ever-changing social information on a quarterly or semi-annual basis in order to properly understand, interpret, and adapt it to their own business and management.

However, we believe that society is already changing at a pace that will cause significant delays.

Therefore, we believe that there will be a big difference over the next year or two between companies that are able to constantly review and update their internal activities, even if small, once a week to match the changes there.

At CRAZYTANK, we started researching crypto assets around 2016, but have been adding NFT research since around 2021, and “physical assets” (memory assets) since around 2022. (We have also written about these topics in past articles in the newsletter).

The linked article above describes the rapid growth of the Real World Asset (RWA) market, where real world assets are tokenized, and the following article describes the RWA tokenization market in Japan.

According to the Japan Crypto Asset Business Association, as of March 2024, the following types of tokens have been issued: (1) NFTs for rights to physical assets such as collectors' items, liquor, and gold (sometimes called physical redemption NFTs), (2) tokens for rights to use lodging facilities, ski resorts, restaurants, etc. (iii) Tokenized rights to income-producing properties such as real estate, which are distributed as dividends (so-called security tokens (STs)), and (iv) Tokenized rights to intellectual property such as copyrights.

In other words, it is expected that in the future, objects that have been referred to as physical, real, things will be tokenized, and distribution and trading behavior will occur via crypto assets on the blockchain, expanding the market for these objects.

What is important here is that while such markets may not immediately enter public life, we need to take action to advance our understanding as soon as possible to “properly understand the social changes” and explore their impact and potential for our own businesses.

For example, when 2021 CRAZYTANK was conducting NFT research, we proposed to one of our clients to plan a service to install NFT in condominiums.

The image on the left shows an illustration of holding NFT art in the entrance hall of a condominium.As NFT art is updated, the asset value of the condominium will continue to increase.

The right side of the image shows an image of an apartment resident holding his or her favorite NFT art inside his or her room. It also makes it possible to replace the NFT art just like redecorating.


This proposal has not resulted in a project because the NFT art market is still in its infancy and various issues need to be resolved, including management code issues within the housing complex.

However, if, as of 2021, we had continued to conduct various studies, however small, related to NFT within the company based on this proposal, as of 2024, after about 3 years of time, as shown in the above excerpted article, as the tokenization of physical assets progressed, the possibility of new condominiums and real estate employees who would have seen value creation as a company could have grown.

In any case, in the future, organizations will become stronger if they can “understand society appropriately” in a short span of time (even once a week can change), while tuning their business appropriately each time, and if their employees can accept the changes and constantly learn without fear of change.... Such an organization will be strong.
