6 reasons to go to NYC next month

I will be going to NYC at next month. I have to ride airplanes for 24 hours, but I’ll go. Why? I’ll explain you why I will go NYC on this opportunity.

At first I should tell you what June means for NYC. Do you know Tony Awards? That is the prizes for Broadway shows like musicals and plays (dramas). That is theatre version of Academy Awards. This award’s ceremony takes place at June. So May and June is the hottest season of Broadway. I always visit to Broadway in this season.

I think 2024’s Tony Awards is the most attractive season in recent years. This time 41 shows are eligible for 2024’s Tony.That is the most largest number of shows in recent 10 years.

A lot of super stars are starring at the stages. Daniel Radcliffe(Harry Potter)and Jonathan Groff (Frozen)and Rachel McAdams. And we can also see Eddie Redmayne on stage. He is performing Emcee at “Cabaret”. The show was performed at London before. But I couldn’t see it.

Revival shows are also attractive for us. “The Wiz” is the musical based on “The Wizard of Oz”. This work is known as an early example of Broadway’s show mainstream acceptance of works with an all Black cast in 1975.

“Titanic The Musical” is also popular work in musical theatre industry. This musical is released in 1997 that is faster than the same named film. This work has won 5 Tony awards in this year.

And a remarkable musical theatre work by Webber “CATS” is back to NYC in June. This time “CATS” will be set in the 1980’s ballroom culture. This is the first time major production to depart stylistically from the original.What is the importance of Revival shows? This “CATS” will give us a good example.

This is enough reasons to go there for me. But there is still one more reason. Nézet-Séguin will conduct “La Bohème”that is one of the most romantic opera in the history.I think, he is the best conductor in the world in present time.  “La Bohème” is known as the original of “RENT”that is musical depicts homosexuality love at NYC. He has also homosexuality and he is living with his husband at Montreal. He and Philadelphia orchestra has been released some albums. I always impressed their performance. This time I have an opportunity to hear their performance in live. I guess, this opportunity makes a history.

This is my reasons to go to NYC.
