March 27, 2022：ロバート・デ・ニーロ、ディア・ハンター、ワンス・アポン・ア・タイム・イン・アメリカ (Robert De Niro, Deer Hunter, Once Upon a Time in America)

 Since I watched the film ‘The God Father Part II when I was a university student, I have been a fan of Robert De Niro. My favourite film of his is ‘Deer Hunter”. I watched it at a cinema theatre in Kyoto and was moved by his impressive performance. As I wanted to see it again, I went to a cinema theatre with a large screen in Osaka.
 My second favourite one is “Once Upon a Tim in America’. It tells the story of five decades in the lives of four gangsters from New York City. I still remember his splendid performance in the film. I watched it two or three times at a cinema theatre in Yurakucho, Tokyo.
 During the last three-day weekend, I suddenly missed De Niro’s films and watched “My Intern” and “Heist/Bus 657”. In My Intern, he plays a comical and accomplisehd performance. It is a great film, too. In Heist, he plays a supporting role but shows his presence.
The two films showed me again how great Robert De Niro is!

　ボクは、学生時代にゴッドファーザー2を観てファンになりました。デニーロの作品で一番のお気に入りは、「ディア・ハンター」です。京都の映画館で観て、デニーロの鬼気迫る演技に魅了されました。この映画をもっと大きなスクリーンで観たくなり、大阪の梅田にあったシネラマOS劇場に観に行きました。
　次にお気に入りなのが、「ワンス・アポン・ア・タイム・イン・アメリカ」です。ギャングの作品ですが、デニーロの名演技が忘れられません。こちらは、有楽町の日本劇場で2度か3度観ました。
先週の3連休に久々にデニーロの映画が観たくなり、アマゾンプライムで「マイ・インターン」と「タイム・トゥ・ラン」を観ました。「マイ・インターン」では、コミカルで渋い役を演じています。こちらも名作の一つです。「タイム・トゥ・ラン」では、準主役で存在感を光ります。
この2作品をみて、ロバート・デ・ニーロの素晴らしさを再認識しました。
