April 26, 2022: Video of My Daughter’s Wedding, My Elderly Aunt, New Technology （娘の結婚式のビデオ、高齢の伯母、新技術）

 I am still basking in the afterglow of my daughter’s wedding. I have received from her a link address to access the videos and photos of the wedding. I downloaded them into my cloud storage and have watched them almost every day. The video has a run of four minutes and reminds me of the emotion I had at the wedding. The video is also converted into 500 still images which are all expressive.
 In addition, I could very easily share it with my aunt. She is ninety-something-year old and has neither a smartphone nor a video player. I stored the video on my unused smartphone and sent it to her. I got a phone call from her and was glad to hear that she enjoyed the video very much.
 Life is getting more and more convenient thanks to new IT technology. After all, I decided not to cancel the new iPad since I did not want to lose its benefits.

　娘の結婚式の余韻がまだ冷めません。娘から結婚式のビデオや写真のリンクアドレスの連絡がありました。リンクをクリックして、ビデオをダウロードして、ほぼ毎日見ています。4分ほどのビデオですが、新郎新婦の姿を見ると、改めて感動が蘇ります。写真はビデオを静止画にしたようです。どの静止画の表情も豊かです。
　伯母とも動画を簡単に共有できました。伯母は、90数歳で、スマホやビデオプレイヤーを持っていません。使わなくなったスマホに動画を保存し、郵送しました。伯母からビデオを楽しんだとの電話をくれました。大変嬉しそうでした。
　新技術のお陰で、生活はどんどん便利になっています。結局、新型iPadの恩恵を失いたくないので、キャンセルしないことにしました。
