April 27, 2022: My Aunt, Aftereffects of Vaccination, Fourth Vaccination （伯母、ワクチン接種の後遺症、4回目接種）

 My aunt is suffering the severe aftereffects of the Covid-19 vaccine rollout. The ninety-something-year old got the vaccination six months ago. Since then, she has lost her taste and suffered from a sense of fatigue. Her doctor is struggling to get rid of them but failed to do so for now.
 She has lost her appetite and lost so much weight. She also seems to have great difficulty moving her body due to the fatigue. She has spent her life without serious illness and trouble. Accordingly, she must be frustrated with the aftereffects.
 I also have the same frustration as hers. Since I was a child, I have had a lot of her assistance. Accordingly, I want to do something to assist her but cannot find it for now. I can only hope that she will force herself to eat.
 The Japanese government plans to start the fourth vaccination for those older than sixty. However, I am very reluctant to receive it due to a severe side effect at the third vaccination and my aunt’s aftereffects.

　伯母が、コロナワクチンの後遺症に苦しんでいる。伯母は、90数歳の高齢者。3回目のワクチンを接種後、味覚がなくなり、倦怠感を感じるようになったらしい。発症からすでに半年以上が経過し、かかりつけ医によると、後遺症は消えそうにないらしい。
　食欲がなくなり、体重が激減しているらしい。また体を動かすのもつらくなったらしい。高齢の身で、体を動かせないとますます衰えてします。ここまで、大病もなく元気に暮らしてきただけに、悔しい思いをしていると思う。
　幼い頃から散々世話になった伯母がこんなことになるとは、無念極まりない。また、何もしてあげられない自分がもどかしい。無理してでも食べられるようになればと願うばかりだ。
　国は、60歳以上の高齢者の4回目ワクチン接種を始めるようですが、とても接種する気なれない。ボクも、3回目のモデルナワクチンで非常につらい思いをした。そこに、伯母が後遺症を患っていると聞くと、とても打つ気になれない。
