February 24, 2022：けんか、無法者、ロシア、国際社会 (Brawls, Wrongdoers, Russia, International Community)

 Since I began to work at home around twenty years ago, I have hardly seen any brawl between strangers. Until that, I had often seen them at a station or downtown. Among them was the one at the JR Shinjuku station that was the most memorable. A drunken student began to quarrel with a man on a train. And, he hit the man in the face and broke the man’s teeth with bleeding. The scene extremely frightened and scared me.
 There are always wrongdoers in any world. Russia is too arrogant to tolerate. Following the annexation of Crimea, it has begun to invade Ukraine. A week ago, it caused a stir with doping in the Winter Olympics Games. I cannot accept such arrogances at all. I am also deeply disappointed with the international community that cannot contain such arrogant Russia.
 Thinking about many lives bing lost again makes me shudder.

　在宅勤務を始めて20年近くがたちます。そのお陰で、大人がけんかをしている場面に出くわす機会が減りました。その前は、駅や繁華街でけんかをよく見た。なかでも忘れられない場面は、JR新宿駅でのけんか。車内で酔っ払いの学生と会社員がけんかを始め、学生が会社員の顔を殴った結果、会社員の歯が折れ、血が噴き出すことがあった。これを見たときはぞっとして、恐怖を感じた
　どの世界にも無法ものはいる。国際社会では、ロシアの無法ぶりが最近特に目につく。クリミアに続く、今回のウクライナ侵攻。オリンピックでのドーピング騒ぎ。いい加減にしてもらいたい。また、暴れ回るロシアを抑え込めない国際社会に仕組みにも無力感を感じる。
　また、尊い命が失われるのかと考えると、ぞっとする。
