July 3, 2022: Tom Jones, Still Active （トム ジョーンズ、今なお健在）

     I preferred Tom Jones to Elvis Presley. Tom Jones is a British singer. I used to watch the TV show 'This is Tom Jones.' My favourites of his songs were 'Green, Green Grass of Home', 'Delilah', 'It's Not Unusual, and 'What's New Pussycat?' Tom Jones, who is already eighty-two years old, is still active.
     He still plays concerts in Europe and the United States. He sang a few songs at the Diamond Jubilee concert ten years ago in the UK. He was crowned on the U.K. albums chart with ‘Surrounded By Time’ in 2021.
     He has his official site on YouTube to enjoy his classic songs.

　ボクは、プレスリーよりもトム ジョーンズの方が好きでした。トム ジョーンズは、英国出身のシンガーです。中学生の頃は、夜に「This is Tom Jones」というテレビ番組が放送されていたいので、よく観ていました。「思い出のグリーン・グラス」、「デライラ」、「よくあることさ」や「何かいいことないか子猫チャン」などの名曲が思い出されます。
　トム ジョーンズは、82歳になりますが健在です。今でも、欧米でコンサートを行っています。10年前には、英エリザベス女王即位60周年祝賀コンサートで歌声を披露しています。また、2021年に発表したアルバムが全英アルバムチャート1位を獲得しました。
