December 26, 2022: Apartments , Multilevel Car Parks （マンション、立体駐車場）
It has been twenty-five or more years since I lived in my current apartment. Fortunately, it is still full and has no empty room for now. It has a lot of buyers who want to buy its used rooms since it is close to the nearest station. I often see flyers asking the residents to sell their rooms. So, I sometimes see the residents change. But it has had no serious problem for now. It also has multistoried car parks. They are still full though the residents are getting older. So, it did not hit me that other apartments have struggled with the problems with multilevel car parks. I have often seen them over the Internet or on TV news.
But I have recently seen my neighbouring apartment face the problem. It has multilevel car parks, too. But it has suffered from a lot of them being unused. The space was originally small enough to make my wife say they were too small to pull into or out of them. It must be one of the reasons that they got used lesser and lesser. As a result, it destroyed the parks and changed them into empty flat spaces. It was large-scale work and needed a long time to complete. It radically altered the apartment.
My apartment is likely to face the same problem in the future.
ボクが今住んでいるマンションに住みだして約25年です。幸いな事に、25年が経っても、空き部屋がありません。また、駅に近いこともあり、いまだに人気のようで、部屋の売却を依頼するチラシが結構な頻度で入ってきます。そのせいで、マンションの住人の入れ替わりもありますが、大きなトラブルはありません。また、マンションの住人の高齢化は進んでいますが、立体駐車場もいまだに満車でフル稼働です。ネットなどで立体駐車場に空きが発生した問題になっている記事をたまに目にしますが、あまり実感がありませんでした。
ところが、目と鼻の先にあるマンションがまさに駐車場の空き問題に直面しました。もともと、狭いスペースに立体駐車場を作ったため、車の出し入れが非常に難しそうでした。妻などは、こんな駐車場、使えないと言うほどでした。そのせいか、利用者が減り、空きが目立つようになっていました。その結果、ついに、立体駐車場を取り壊し、埋め戻したのです。埋め戻しの工事は、大がかりで、工期も長かったです。工事後は、様変わりしました。
ボクのマンションでも将来、同じ問題に直面しそうです。
