Hello, this is BowGriP Rakuyuubi. This time, I visited Koyacho, Ito District, Wakayama Prefecture, where beautiful nature and history live. Koyacho is a town of faith and culture, centered around Mount Koya, which is also registered as a World Heritage Site.

The first place we visited was Kongobu-ji Temple, the head temple of the Koyasan Shingon sect. The magnificent temple buildings give visitors a sense of solemnity. In addition, Okunoin is known as the place where Kobo Daishi Kukai entered nirvana, and is crowded with many worshippers. The scenery woven by the nature of the four seasons will soothe the hearts of those who visit.

In Koyacho, you can also experience copying sutras and copying Buddhas, and spend a relaxing time. In addition, staying at a temple lodging is a valuable experience that allows you to feel the history and tradition of Mt. Koya.
