The University of Tokyo Advanced Institute: Biodiversity in Nature Reserves Contributes to Climate Change Solutions – In Light of the 30by30 Goals
A research group led by Professor Akira Mori at the University of Tokyo's Advanced Institute of Industrial Technology has demonstrated through analysis of forests worldwide that nature reserves play a crucial role in ensuring the functionality of biodiversity in contributing to carbon absorption. However, the study also revealed that failure to mitigate anthropogenic warming could undermine this role of nature reserves.
