英語日記記録：My resolutions for 2022

せっかくnoteが続いているので。
せっかく英語を勉強しているので。
英語学習の記録も残しておこうと思います。

昨年から始めた英語日記。昨年は、本当に4,5行くらいの短い日記でした。そして気まぐれにやっていたため、書く時と書かない時があったり。

でも非常にためになりました。
英語日記のいいところは、自分に起こった出来事や思ったことを英語にしているので、自分ごとの英語フレーズを沢山知れるところが良いのでしょうね。あとはそれを日々の中でどう使って身につけていくか。

今年は少しバージョンアップをして、もう少し長めの日記を書くようにしました。そして頻度も、一週間に最低二つ。

私の場合は、まずは自分で英語日記を書いて、スカイプチャットでネイティブの先生にチェックしてもらいます。そしてチェックしてもらった英語を、英文を見ずに言えるまで練習。オンラインで先生の前でそれを発表して、発音などもチェックしてもらう、という流れです。

今回どうしても使いたかった表現は二つです。

1. pillars 

2. toy with the idea of ~

pillar は柱という意味なのですが、以前Ted talk を見ていたら「話の軸」という意味で使っていて、私も使いたい！と思っていました。なんかかっこいい。

2はYouTubeで知った表現。toyが動詞で使われているのが印象的で、~のところに動名詞を置くことで~しようかぼんやり考える。という意味になるそうです。

The topic for today is "Resolutions for 2022!"
I made three pillars, which is English, photography and play.
There are three pillars to my New Year's resolution, which are English, Photography, and recreation.

For English, I'm going to write journals at least twice a week, and also I'm toying with the idea of taking some kind of English exam… but I'm not sure yet.
Ever since I restarted learning English, enjoy enjoyment was the key. So I didn't put set any goals for English, but after two years enjoying English, I feel like I need a sense of accomplishment that to achieve something where I can actually see my improvements objectively.

For photography, I'm going to make have a "photo shoot day" once a month.
On that day, I'll set a certain theme and try to shoot take photos.
Of all the many things I've explored last year, photography was the thing is something I genuinely enjoyed the most. So I want to go into deeper deeper into this hobby this year.

The last one is recreation play. What I mean by this is I still want to keep exploring this year. There are I have so many things I want to try such as new recipes, art, editing, reading, ukulele, visiting new places and so on. So I want to conciously make time consciously for those things to bring joy to my life!

I'm quite happy with the results of my resolutions for  that I made last year, so I think hope I'll enjoy my new resolutions this year as well!

やはり細かな前置詞の間違い、動詞のチョイスの間違いはいつも通り多めです。まぁでもこれを一つ一つ自分の中の英語引き出しに入れていくしかないですかね。

pillar を使ったのはとても良いと褒められました！
ただ、主語をIで使うのはあまり自然ではないらしく、There are 
を使って、「柱があります」という表現が良いそう。

toy with the idea of taking exam は無事うまく使えたようでよかった！そしてTOEICを受けることに決めました。

あと今回改めて思ったのは、説明しようとし過ぎて、不必要なものを書きがちあるある。英語はシンプルに。

という今回の記録でした。
