ニック・ファジーカスに涙できることを幸せに想う。I feel happy to be able to cry for Nick Fuzzikas.

昨日2024年4月28日、川崎ブレイブサンダース、ニック・ファジーカス選手のホーム最終戦と引退セレモニーがありました。ホーム最終戦は、どちらもチャンピオンシップ出場には負けられない「川崎ブレイブサンダースvsサンロッカーズ渋谷」戦とあって、出だしから緊迫した戦い。途中10点差以上渋谷がリードしましたが、最後残り3.5秒で、渋谷2点リードという追い上げムードに。最後のプレーから振り返ると、ここで佐藤HCは、この試合の終盤でシュートタッチの良かった藤井選手にラストシュートを指示したと思われますが、渋谷ギブス選手のディフェンスによって、ボールはニックにわたり、ラストシュートはニックから放たれました。ボールが放物線を描いてリングに届く前にゲーム終了のブザーがなり、入れば川崎の逆転勝利（たぶん3Pシュートだったので）だったのですが、勝利の女神はそこまでドラマチックなストーリーを描きませんでした。ボールはリングに弾かれ、試合終了。シュート後、体勢を崩してコートに転んでいたニックを、ラストシュートのデフェンスにきていた田中大貴選手が手を差し伸べて立ち上がり、最後のプレーを終えました。
Yesterday, April 28, 2024, there was the final home game and retirement ceremony for Kawasaki Brave Thunders player Nick Fazikas. The final home game was Kawasaki Brave Thunders vs. Sunrockers Shibuya, a match that neither team could afford to lose to qualify for the championship, so it was a tense battle from the get-go. Shibuya led by more than 10 points midway through, but with 3.5 seconds remaining, Shibuya was in the mood to catch up with a 2-point lead. Looking back at the last play, HC Sato seems to have instructed Fujii, who had a good shooting touch, to take the last shot in the final stages of the game, but due to Shibuya Gibbs' defense, the ball went over to the nick, and the last shot was taken. The shot came from Nick. The game-ending buzzer sounded before the ball traveled in a parabola and reached the ring, and Kawasaki would have won the game from behind (probably because it was a 3-point shot), but the Goddess of Victory did not allow such a dramatic story to be drawn. It was. The ball bounced into the ring and the match ended. After the shot, Nick lost his balance and fell onto the court, but Daiki Tanaka, who was defending the last shot, reached out his hand to Nick, who stood up and finished the final play.

試合会場であるとどろきアリーナはニックへの愛情と想いが詰まっていましたし（何となく緊張感もありました）、同時に、X（Twitter）にもニックへの愛情と想いが詰まっていました。そんなみんなの想いと涙の断片を記録しておきたいと思います。
The venue for the match, Todoroki Arena, was filled with love and feelings for Nick (and there was a sense of tension as well), and at the same time, X (Twitter) was filled with love and feelings for Nick. I would like to record fragments of everyone's thoughts and tears.

とどろきアリーナに詰めかけたブースターが、皆、ニックへの想いを伝えようとしていました。ニックにとっても、これほど愛されて、感謝されて引退できることはこの上ない喜びだと思います。
All the boosters packed into the Todoroki Arena were trying to express their feelings for Nick. I think it is a great joy for Nick to be able to retire feeling so loved and appreciated.

ギブスも、ニックも、何だか楽しそうにマッチアップしていたように見えました。トップで戦ってきた二人にしか共有できない感覚かもしれません。
Both Gibbs and Nick looked like they were having fun matching up. It may be a feeling that only two people who have competed at the top can share.

ニックが日本バスケ界と川崎ファミリーに積み重ねてくれた一つ一つの出来事を思い出します。
I remember every single thing that Nick has contributed to the Japanese basketball world and the Kawasaki family.

川崎ブースター以外からも、心を熱くする言葉がたくさん上がっています。
There are many heart-warming words from people other than Kawasaki Boosters.

そして、あの引退セレモニー。
And that retirement ceremony.

ジーツとくまさん。また、涙が出てきました。。。でも、この涙は決して嫌は涙ではありません。ニック・ファジーカス選手にこんなにも涙できることを私は幸せに感じています。
Geets and Bear. Tears came to my eyes again. . . But these tears are not tears of hatred. I feel blessed to be able to cry so much for Nick Fazikas.
