”阿波農村舞台の会”は、徳島の伝統芸能である阿波人形浄瑠璃とその舞台である農村舞台の保存を目的に活動している非営利団体です。ここでは活動を通じて私たちが日々思うこと感じることを交えながら、よりディープな徳島の文化をお届けできればと考えています。

Our goal is to archive Ningyo-joruri ,a traditional puppet show, and open-air farm-village stages for the play.  On this page, we will introduce you the  cultures deeply rooted in Tokushima and what we do, think and feel about it.

徳島の浄瑠璃文化の始まりと今
-the History of Awa Ningyo-Joruri

徳島は人形浄瑠璃ゆかりの地であることをみなさんはご存知でしょうか。    

徳島では、吉野川流域の藍作地帯で、淡路の人形座が小屋掛けの舞台をつくって興業を行い、県南部の勝浦川、那賀川、海部川などの流域では神社の境内に建てた常設の農村舞台での公演が頻繁に行われました。いずれも野外での公演であったことから、文楽と比べて一回りも二回りも大きな、光沢のある塗りの人形を使い、観客にアピールするよう前方に突きだし大きな振りで演じられたと言われています。
また、人形制作が伝統的に栄えたことも大きな特色です。阿波の人形座はもちろん全国を巡業する淡路の人形座に提供するため、天狗久や人形忠、人形富など多数の優れた人形師を輩出し、今も多くの人形師が活躍しています。                                                                         （徳島県立阿波十郎兵衛屋敷HP）

というように、人形浄瑠璃は徳島の風土が育んだ芸能でもあり、今もその伝統は広く市民に受け継がれ大切にされています。

   Is it true that Tokushima is highly related to Ningyo-joruri?

Awa Ningyo Joruri has been passed down to this day as a traditional art that Tokushima can proudly show.
In Tokushima, so-called Awa-no-Te (dynamic puppeteering) using much larger puppets with a glossy finishing than those for bunraku has been used to appeal the audience because ningyo joruri has usually been performed in open-air farm-village stages or temporary stages in Tokushima.
In addition, doll-making has flourished in Tokushima to supply dolls to puppet troupes not only in Tokushima but also in Awaji-shima who have been traveling around Japan, so that many great ningyo-shi (doll-making masters) appeared such as Tenguhisa, Ningyochu and Ningyotomi in the past and not a few skilled ningyo-shi are still working actively in Tokushima.（徳島県立阿波十郎兵衛屋敷HP）

well,  now you know it is fact that these cultures have been cultivated by the environment of Tokushima, also handed down and cherished by many people until today.

私たちの活動-what we do

さて、私たちが一体どんな活動をしているかについてですが、簡単にいうとまちづくりです。浄瑠璃を主体としたまちづくりを、阿波の人形浄瑠璃文化発信の地・十郎兵衛屋敷と連携し、面白くて新しい文化の形を提案しています。　　　　

・徳島の川を利用した水上タクシー
・３Dデコの製作（浄瑠璃人形のことを徳島では、木偶（でこ）と呼ぶ）
・デジタル襖カラクリ

About what we actually do is kind of revitalizing the town mainly with Ningyo-joruri. We are working together with Awa Jurobe Yashiki, the base of Ningyo-joruri in Tokushima.
