Virtual School Festival Special Lecture Report #2!

From November 10 to 12, AOIKE High School x AVOS held a collaborative project, the Virtual School Festival!
We report on the special lecture given by Mr. Amano of the Physical Therapy Department, Wakasa Medical Health & Welfare School, during the event!

You can watch the lecture on youtube.
Although the lecture was geared toward high school students, we believe it will provide hints for the future of life for all ages and genders, so please take a look.

Mr. Amano's specialty, physiotherapy, is a treatment method aimed at improving basic movement. Its targets include people with impaired motor functions and sports rehabilitation.
The characteristics of Wakasa Medical Health & Welfare School are...
good learning environment, the shortest course, virtual classes, and a true pass rate!
If you are wondering what the true pass rate is, please check it out on YouTube!

There was a delivery problem during the course, and Mr. Amano, who had a male avatar, turned into a chest (bookshelf?), but he was able to communicate with the quiz. But he gave us a fun and educational lesson with quizzes!

The quiz is about.
How many hip bones does a cat have?
How many bones does a giraffe have in its neck?
How many bones does a human have?

and so on... even children could enjoy these quizzes!
This kind of anatomy compared to other animals is called "comparative anatomy.

In the "Systematic Anatomy" quiz that followed, he explained how even a single scapula has different site names depending on its location and the origin of the name of the coracoid process.
It seems that students need to memorize the names of a huge amount of bones, but the key to "studying bones is to study them hard!" is the key, he said.
He also told us that AVOS is very useful for their daily study!
Cafe_AVOS is currently closed, but we look forward to its reopening.
We hope that Mr. Amano will continue to make use of AVOS and we look forward to hearing from him again.
Thank you for an enjoyable class!

We also had the opportunity to interview Mr. Amano in August about the use of AVOS in his actual classes.
You can see the video of that interview here.
We also asked him about his own initiatives, Cafe_AVOS, so please take a look.
