16日目　Day16

基本ガーナの人は週末はお家でゆっくり過ごします。私も昨日に引き続きお家でのんびりと過ごしました。来週からは学校の方がテスト期間に入るので私はナマズの市場リサーチに力を入れようかと考えているところ。ガーナの子供達のテスト期間が日本とはまた違っていたので紹介します。教科数は全部で10教科、月曜日から金曜日の計5日間で行います。英語やフランス語、数学といった主要5教科は1時間半のテスト時間。残りの5教科は1時間です。一日に主要教科と副教科を一つずつ受けます。1時間半のテストを受けた後には、1時間半の休憩があり、また1時間テストを受けます。これがなんと小学生から中学生まで全学年共通なんです。小学生からしたらもう当たり前のことらしいですが、自分だったら絶対に集中できないなと思いながら話を聞いてました。

Basically, Ghanaians spend the weekend at home. I also spent the same time relaxing at home as I did yesterday. I am thinking of focusing on researching the catfish market as the school is going into a testing period from next week. I want to introduce the test period for Ghanaian children as it differs from Japan's. There are ten subjects in total, and they are held over five days from Monday to Friday. The five main subjects, such as English, French and mathematics, are tested for one and a half hours. The remaining five subjects take one hour. After the one-and-a-half-hour test, there is a one-and-a-half-hour break and then take another one-hour test. This is the same for all grades, from primary to junior high. I heard that this is a normal thing for primary school students, but I was listening to the conversation, thinking that if it were me, I would never be able to concentrate.
