20日目　Day20

今日は所属している団体がサポートしている村の小学校を訪問しました。現在私が住んでいる地域から車とバスを乗り継いで約1時間30かかりました。舗装されていない道も多く凸凹道を進むこと約30分、目的の村に辿り着きました。下記の写真は現在プロジェクト途中の教室です。屋根をつけ、壁を舗装し直し、教室を4カ所に増やそうとしていますが、資金が足りずストップしている状態です。前回ガーナを訪れていた日本人の方が、2人がけの椅子と机を5セット寄付してくれましたが、まだまだ物資が足りていないのが現状です。自分は現地で直接支援に関わりたいのか、それとも他の場所で教育支援に関わりたいのか、今回のインターンはそれを考えるとても良い機会になっていると感じています。

Today I visited a primary school in a village that my organisation supports. It took about 1 hour 30 by car and bus from the area where I currently live. After about 30 minutes on bumpy roads, many of which were not paved, we arrived at the village we wanted to visit. The photo below shows a classroom that is currently undergoing a project. We are trying to add a roof, repave the walls and increase the number of classrooms to four, but the project has been stopped due to lack of funds. A Japanese person who visited Ghana last time donated five sets of two-seater chairs and desks, but there are still not enough supplies. I feel that this internship is a very good opportunity for me to think about whether I want to be directly involved in support in the field or whether I want to be involved in education support elsewhere.
