5日目　Day5

今日は中学2年生のクラスに参加しました。today I joined grade 8 class. 

小学生(高学年)と中学生に共通する科目は以下のとおり。
『英語、数学、フランス語、RME、歴史、科学、体育、Fante (母国語)、アート、そしてOWOP (our world and our people) 』

Subjects common to grade 4 to 9 students are as follows.
『English, mathematics, French, RME, history, science, P.E, Fante (native language), Art, and OWOP. 』

中学生たちの子曰く、フランス語と英語どちらとも幼稚園にいる間から習い始めるのだとか。そのため、小学生のうちから基本授業はすべて英語で行われます。私からしたら毎日6時間勉強して、母国語以外に英語もフランス語も習って、何だか嫌になっちゃいそうです。ただ生徒たちに話を聞くと、みんな口を揃えて学ぶことが楽しいと答えます。中には将来、海外の大学で学びたいと話す子もいます。子どもたちの学びへの熱意に圧倒され、同時に私も教育のあり方について考えさせられます。まだまだ教育現場でのリサーチは始まったばかり。時間を思い切り有効に使おう。

According to the children of junior high school students, they start learning both French and English while they are still in kindergarten. Therefore, all basic classes are conducted in English from primary schools onwards. From my point of view, I would be sick of studying for six hours every day and learning English and French in addition to my mother tongue. However, when I talk to the students, they all say that learning is fun. Some of them even say they want to study at a university abroad in the future. I am overwhelmed by the children's enthusiasm for learning, and at the same time, it makes me think about the state of education. My research in the field of education has only just begun. Let's use my time as effectively as I can.
