現代に忍者が復活？！上野高校、しのぶの奮闘（後編） Ninja resurrected in modern times? ! Ueno High School, Shinobu's Struggle (Japanese,English)

しのぶは、他校忍者部からの挑戦状に胸を躍らせていた。 彼女はチームを集め、大会の準備を始めました。 甲南高校忍者部から提案された手裏剣投げ、居合い斬り、走高跳、50m走の4種目を中心に、放課後も毎日練習に励んでいました。

慎二は居合斬りで、竹を簡単に切り裂くことができた。智子の弓道で鍛えた技術は手裏剣の的を射るのに役立ったが、由香のアクロバティックな能力は走り高跳びで彼女を最高のものにした。宏の強さと速さは、50メートル走でチームのトップパフォーマーになった。

大会が近づくにつれ、緊張が高まる上野高校忍者クラブ。 彼らはこれまで、このような課題に直面したことはなかった。 しかし、しのぶは自信を持っていた。

3つ目の種目は走り高跳びだ。 各チームは、特定の高さに設定されたバーをクリアするために 3 回試行する。 上野高校忍者クラブは、棒を飛び越えることに慣れていなかったため、このイベントに苦労しました。 由香は最初の試みでなんとかバーを跳び越えたが、チームの他のメンバーは失敗した。

一方、甲南高校忍者クラブは走り高跳びが得意だ。 彼らは3回の試みすべてでバーを跳び超えた。

上野高校忍者部は3回目の種目で負けた。

最終種目は50m走。 上野高校忍者クラブは、宏が最強のランナーであったため、この種目に大きな期待を寄せてた。自己ベストを更新する6.4秒で完走した。 チームの他のメンバーも健闘し、由香も7秒で走った。全員の平均は6.8秒だった。

甲南高校忍者クラブの平均は、7.1秒で、上野高校の勝利となった。

結局、両行の勝負は引き分けになった。

しのぶは提案した。

「両方とも、本物の忍者ってことでどうかしら？対立するより、協力して、日本中に私たち忍者のすごさをアピールしない？」

こうして、両クラブは協力し、各地のイベントやお祭りで引っ張りだこになった。さらには、外国人観光客からも注目された。

CNNの記者がつぶやいた。

「現代の日本に、伝説の忍者は、健在だった」

Shinobu was thrilled to receive a letter of challenge from another school's ninja club. She assembled a team and started preparing for the competition. She practiced every day after school, focusing on four events proposed by the Konan High School Ninja Club: shuriken throwing, iai-giri, high jump, and 50m dash.

Shinji was able to easily cut through bamboo with his Iai-giri. Her skill, honed in Tomoko's archery, helped her hit the target with her shuriken, while Yuka's acrobatic prowess put her at her best in the high jump. Hiroshi's strength and speed made him the team's top performer in the 50-meter dash.

The Ueno High School Ninja Club gets tense as the tournament draws near. They had never faced such challenges before. But Shinobu was confident.

"We've been training hard for this," she told her teammates. "We know what we are capable of. Let's show them that we are real ninjas."

On the day of the tournament, two ninja clubs gathered in a park in Shiga Prefecture. Both clubs strained their members. The Konan High School Ninja Club is full of confidence, while the Ueno High School Ninja Club looks tense but determined.

The first event is shuriken throwing. Each team throws 5 times and the team with the most hits wins the event. Ueno High School Ninja Club takes the lead. Tomoko approached the line and she threw her shuriken with precision, hitting it right in the middle of her target. Yuka, Hiroshi, and Shinji followed suit. By the end of the five throws, they hit the target four times.

Shinobu said with a satisfied expression. "We did it! We hit four times."

Then it's Konan High School Ninja Club's turn. They also managed to hit their target four times. The result was a draw.

The second event is Iai-giri. Both teams cut as many bamboos as possible in 3 minutes. The Ueno High School Ninja Club took the lead. Shinji started slicing bamboo like butter. Tomoko and Yuka were good, but Shinji really shined. Cut 15 bamboo in 3 minutes.

Konan High School's ninja club followed suit, but could only cut 12. The Ueno High School Ninja Club won the second event.

The third event is the high jump. Each team has three attempts for him to clear a bar set at a certain height. The Ueno High School Ninja Club struggled with the event as they were not used to jumping over sticks. Yuka manages to jump over the bar on her first attempt, but the rest of the team fails.

On the other hand, the Konan High School Ninja Club specializes in the high jump. They jumped over the bar on all three attempts.

The Ueno High School Ninja Club lost in the third event.

The final event is the 50m run. The Ueno High School Ninja Club had high hopes for this event, as Hiroshi was the strongest runner. He completed the race in 6.4 seconds, breaking his personal best. The rest of the team did well too, with Yuka running in 7 seconds. Everyone averaged 6.8 seconds.

Konan High School Ninja Club's average was 7.1 seconds, and Ueno High School won.

In the end, the battle between the two sides ended in a draw.

Shinobu suggested.

“How about both of us being real ninjas? Rather than confront each other, why don’t we work together and show the wonders of us ninjas all over Japan?”

In this way, the two clubs cooperated and became popular at various events and festivals. Furthermore, it has attracted the attention of foreign tourists.
