今回は、English diary03の文章を復習します。

Ex1:  There has been a lot of typhoon news lately.＊lately = recently

　・lately＝最近

Ex2: A typhoon is about to cross Japan.And tomorrow, the damage of the typhoon is expected.
＊be about to do something = to be going to do something very soon.
＊cross = to go across from one side of something to the other.

　・be about to＝まさに・・・しようとしている　・cross＝横断する　・expect＝予測する

Ex3:  It rained heavily in my area today.It was like taking a shower.However, the rain was repeating on and off.
＊on and off = happening or existing only some of time.

　・rain＝雨が降る　・heavily＝大量に　・on and off＝不規則に　・the rain was repeating on and off＝雨は降ったりやんだりを繰り返していた。

Ex4:  There is a fear that the typhoon will become severe tomorrow.
＊severe = causing very great pain, difficulty, worry, damage.

　・fear＝恐怖　・severe＝厳しい、酷い
