市民だけが苦しみ、為政者の犠牲は見えないガザ地区(The Agony of Citizens and the Absence of Sacrifice from Leaders in Gaza)

最近救出された人質の姿を見ると、惨憺たる気持ちになる。 彼らが感じた苦痛と恐怖を、果たしてハマスとイスラエルの政治家たちは理解できるだろうか？
ネタニヤフ首相は、果たしてどれほど人質の救出のために努力したのか、改めて問いたい。 数ヵ月前に提案したように、自分が直接談判する姿を見せず、軍人を前面に出して常に後ろから指示だけをする彼の姿に、果たしてユダヤ人が信じている旧約聖書にどれほど忠実だったのか残念だ。
いつも市民が被害を受ける。 戦争を起こすのは政治家たちから始まるが、彼らは安全なところでむしろ自分たちの政治的位置を確実に守っている。犠牲者として増え続けるのは一般市民だ。 愛国という名で戦場で命を落とす若者たちと爆撃による女性と子どもたちの犠牲は惨憺たるものだ。
ただガザ地区だけではない。 ウクライナ戦争、ハイチ内戦などすべての戦争は一般市民を苦しませる。
今、韓国内で医師の増員関連スト、与野党の対立、経済低迷、物価上昇、対北朝鮮関係の悪化、出生率の下落など様々な問題点が発生しているが、戦争の比ではない。
空港には海外旅行に出かける人々で賑わい、商業地域には集まりやパーティーで賑わっている。 このような姿が市民の日常であり、このようにしてくれるのが政治家の役割だ。
今、ガザ地区の人々を見れば、私たちの生活があまりにも平安なのではないかと気が進まない気もする。
一日も早くイスラエルはガザ地区を平和に戻さなければならない。 完全に破壊されてしまったガザ地区を見れば、イスラエルが信じる神様が喜ぶか疑問に思う。 先祖であるモーセが神様から受け取った十戒には、「あなたの隣人をあなたの体のように愛するように」と書かれている。 神様が直接おっしゃった言葉に逆らっている状況だ。
そもそも愛でパレスチナに接していたなら、人質事件のような事故も起きなかっただろう。
戦争でイスラエルの一般兵士、すなわち一般市民も死亡している。 愛国という名で市民は死んでいくのに、リーダーである政治家の犠牲は見えないのか？ ネタニヤフ首相は、今からでも直ちにすべての責任を負って、自分が捕虜になるという覚悟で人質を全員解放させなければならない。 長い間悲しみに沈んでいる家族に希望を示すリーダーシップが必要だ。 自分の命がもったいないなら、一般市民の命も重要だ。 地位によって不当に差別を受ける状況はこれ以上存在してはならない。 すでにあまりにも多くの時間が流れた。 市民の被害がますます大きくなっている。 一日も早く政治家は覚醒し、市民に平和を与えなければならない。（Qの希望）
 
Witnessing the recent scenes of rescued hostages fills me with profound sadness. I wonder if Hamas and Israeli politicians can truly comprehend the pain and fear those hostages endured. I question how much Prime Minister Netanyahu has genuinely strived to rescue these hostages. Months ago, as suggested, he could have personally taken the lead in negotiations. Instead, he always commands from behind, sending soldiers to the forefront. This makes one question how faithfully he adheres to the Old Testament that the Jewish people believe in.
 
It is always the citizens who suffer. Wars are initiated by politicians, yet they remain in safe places, solidifying their political positions, while it is the ordinary citizens who become victims. The loss of young lives in battle under the banner of patriotism, and the tragic deaths of women and children due to bombings, is heartbreaking.
 
This is not confined to Gaza alone. The wars in Ukraine, the civil unrest in Haiti, and every other conflict cause immense suffering to ordinary citizens.
 
In South Korea, issues such as strikes related to increasing the number of doctors, political conflicts between parties, economic downturns, rising prices, worsening relations with North Korea, and declining birth rates are significant but pale in comparison to the devastation of war.
 
Airports are bustling with people going on overseas trips, and commercial areas are crowded with gatherings and parties. This is the everyday life of citizens, and it is the role of politicians to maintain such normalcy.
 
When we look at the people in Gaza, it sometimes feels unsettling how peaceful our lives are. Israel must restore peace to Gaza as soon as possible. Seeing Gaza utterly destroyed makes one question whether the God Israel believes in would be pleased. The Ten Commandments, which Moses received from God, state that we should love our neighbors as ourselves. The current situation defies God's direct command.
 
If Israel had approached Palestine with love from the beginning, incidents like the hostage crisis might never have occurred. War has also led to the deaths of ordinary Israeli soldiers and citizens. Citizens die in the name of patriotism, yet we see no sacrifices from their leaders. Prime Minister Netanyahu should take full responsibility and, with the resolve to become a hostage himself, ensure the release of all captives immediately. Leadership that offers hope to families long engulfed in sorrow is necessary. If he values his own life, the lives of ordinary citizens should also matter. There should no longer be any unjust discrimination based on status. Too much time has already passed, and the suffering of citizens is escalating.
